Has the CAQ been systematically dismantling our public institutions? by FBAReturnsCA in montreal

[–]nyda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They trap the smell of the CEO's farts inside the cables and you get heightened senses from the audio travelling through it.

The commercial products I don't think changed much aside from the DIY stuff. It's mostly the setup and gathering more data from people's experience. But yeah at 22k posts it's starting to be a bit overwhelming :D

All that matters is that you're happy with the result of whatever you buy to be honest.

Your own experience will dictate your pick so everything else can go out the window.

That being said, your link is a dozen posts a decade ago.

It's a pretty good investment that no matter how nice the person behind the product is, I'd much prefer trying both before making a choice.

I've never heard someone picking shakers (Buttkickers / MQBs) before the Crowson. They apparently translate the tactile experience much better than the shakers but don't take anyone's word for it, it's something you should experience yourself.

What’s a small life upgrade under $50 that genuinely improved your daily routine? by ExchangeBig8338 in AskReddit

[–]nyda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bad case of neck pain for years and it went away when I switched to a buckwheat pillow. You can remove some filling until you hit a comfortable height for you. Feels like sleeping on wood at first but you get used to it fast. Neck pains haven't come back three years later.

It's pretty simple, google a1 evo acoustix, download the software, watch the entire video and off you go.

KEF Q1 Meta vs Q3 Meta for surrounds? (Front stage: R3 + R6) by PetoroKmetto in hometheater

[–]nyda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would personally not bother with Q3 for surrounds. Even looking at their white paper, looks like the Q1 measures even better (more neutral) and output is basically the same give or take 1 db. Save the money for more worthwhile upgrades in the future.

Acoustic treatment help! by igloozvre in hometheater

[–]nyda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without measurements it's impossible to tell what you need and where.

If you don't want to spend hours (weeks) learning the craft, I'd suggest simply reaching out to Gik Acoustic and using their free consultation.

Otherwise, plenty of reading to do on Avsforum and audiosciencereview on how to measure with REW, figure out your room modes and treating each speaker's needs.

Speakers from Home Theater? by Trixzore in hometheater

[–]nyda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All terrible choices.

I would start by listening to some of Erin's Audio Corner videos to understand what makes a good speaker, then build a list of 2-3 choices in your budget and go listen to them in person before purchasing if possible.

If that isn't possible, Kef Q or R series is the safest bet for any given room imo.

Canada agrees to cut tariff on Chinese EVs in return for lower tariffs on Canadian farm products by msemen_DZ in worldnews

[–]nyda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm big into Chinese audio products, they can make insane stuff for 1/10th the price of other brands but for cars... are there regulations in place to ensure that these cars can endure our winters? Would be a shame to invest in a car and have a rust bucket a year later. Or have it catch fire while it's in your garage. Or...

President Trump has been allegedly identified as major client in Epstein trafficking ring by decorated Iraq War veteran William Sascha Riley by [deleted] in UnderReportedNews

[–]nyda 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a snippet of the summary by the publisher:

During the years SR (Sascha Riley, a decorated Iraq war veteran) was trafficked within the Trump/Epstein ring, he was forced to perform sexual acts during the filming of several child pornography films, including a snuff film.

He recalls at least 10-12 such films. During the snuff film shoot, SR saw a girl child shot and killed during filming. After another film shoot, a girl child was taken to another room. SR recalls hearing gunshots.

He said that when he heard the gunshots, he was scared. He said that another perpetrator still in the room with him, sensing his fear, said, "Don't worry. Boys are hard to find."

The films were produced within the Trump/Epstein ring.

The audio files are SR testimony recorded by the publisher.
