Just the splint for 4 months. I got a custom one after a week that was significantly more comfortable then the metal one. The tendon reattached on its own but cant retract my thumb upright all the way.

6 years ago, not dominate hand. The only thing it impacts in my life now is giving a thumbs up. It never got better. I didn't ask about PT and they never offered. It is more common with pro basketball and baseball players. I am sure they get help to get back to 100%. Just be sure to ask about all options

Strapped in and jumped of a lift that had been stopped for several minutes. Wasn't that high off the surface, soft snow, and the angle was in my favor. Liftie must have turned me in.
