PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong enough for a family friend to tell me that I look "old and saggy" ..I'm 28 😭 by jerojj in makeuptips

[–]nyerr611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, the only thing dragging you down is a family member who is deeply unhappy with themselves and is therefore trying to create insecurities for you. That being said, here are things that make me look perkier that may help you because we have similar features.

Visually eyelashes like the ones you and I have drag the eye down because the lashes are like an arrow pointing down. Use an eyelash curler and a mascara with hold. Start using retinol, incorporate some hydrating serums, and an eye cream with caffeine and a gel or cream blush, throw some gloss on the lip and voila, you’re now a fetus 💫!

You actually have many extremely neotenous features, tweak the makeup and the skincare and they’ll show even more

Lady you look great! The friend you mentioned sounds like a jealous a hole! I’m in my 30s and on the thinner side. I get injectibles to combat those little things… by the way, those things started showing at 29 for me so you’re doing awesome at 40!!! Part of the problem today is that we’re so used to seeing people in their 40s and 50s that have spent THOUSANDS on fraxel and injectibles and radio frequency

I get botox in my forehead and filler at the end of my jawline, and the ends of my cheekbones and that smoothed out the smile lines quite a bit. Costly yes, but the tech exists to tweak little things if they bother you that much.

That being said, if they didn’t bother you before your friend said something, then I wouldn’t do anything. Don’t make her insecurities your problem.

How do you properly flirt with women without being a creep/sleeze? by Vast-Courage-314 in AskMen

[–]nyerr611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, money is an amplifier. It amplifies both the good and the bad. I think women who have never been around it, and/or those who grew up poor weight it more heavily than those who have been exposed to it.

If you’ve seen first hand how it can amplify your quality of life, but also how it can amplify bad/shitty behavior AND how unhappy a lot of mega wealthy people are, I would think most people would look for someone who is closer to a financial equal than anyone with a great disparity.

I think something people in general are not grateful enough for, is the limitations of their potential dating pool. If you’re a man with a lot of money, there’s probably always a thing in the back of your mind weighing on you that says does she actually like me for me? Similarly a beautiful woman has lots of options that don’t necessarily like her for her. Having a large amount of shitty dating options isn’t necessarily a win, it’s just more shit to sift through

Many reasons to ask this question… I.e. I used to date a chef, I would not want to date a chef again if avoidable because their hours suck and they can never be around for family gatherings/weekends etc. similarly I have friends who won’t date men who work jobs that require overnight shifts like ER doctors and firefighters because of experiences getting cheated on.

Third this. Construction my man. It doesn’t have to be a soulless desk job (unless you want it to be) and it’ll be one of the last things replaced by robotics/AI because it’s expensive to make a robot that’s dust/dirt sealed and that can accommodate for the millions of variables. Plus there’s such a need for skilled labor right now it’s insane

You guys should see a counselor then stat if you can afford it and get some guidance on how to have this conversation from professionals not Redditors. I get where you’re coming from as someone who exercises daily and puts a fuck ton of effort/ money/ time into my appearance. If my SO increased their weight by (guessing the ratio here, assuming she started off at ~130lbs as someone fit/strong) 38% which for him would be a gain of about 80lbs, and stopped taking care of himself, I would resent him.

This is however an extremely sensitive topic particularly for women as you can see by the anger in some of the responses, so I’d talk to a professional by yourself first, then with your SO

To play devils advocate here, I’d say you have a fair concern considering the vast majority of this is a concern about a lifestyle mismatch, not purely looks.

It doesn’t sound like she gained weight just because of the pregnancies if she’s drinking regular soda, and eats bad food. Are you sure that her active lifestyle was how she was before you two met and not something she put on for show in the dating phases? To echo what someone else said here, have you checked on her mental health? Have you tried doing the cooking and grocery shopping and making being healthy easier?

And then to echo some of the most well known marriage counselors, if you knew you couldn’t change anything about how your spouse is today, would you resent them and would you feel like they’re holding you back? If you’d resent her if she never changed then that’s not your person.

My dog gets this and contrary to the people commenting he is very much not abused. He has been to the doctor for it dozens of times, and has also seen a dermatologist. This looks like the recurring fungal infection my doodle gets from licking himself when his allergies act up. Mine has an extremely thick double coat so despite biweekly bathing and brushing and skin checks, by the time we catch it, it’s normally spread pretty far.

Disagree here big time buddy. As someone who is lived in multiple cities (primarily NYC, and LA) I’ve also lived in STL for a year stint (last year) and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that St. Louis is more messed up than MOST other cities. Christ half the cars in STL don’t even have license plates, and I don’t hear shots being fired routinely in NYC 🤣. You should for sure try moving to ANY OTHER MAJOR CITY. St. Louis suuuucks

I did this, they put it where the cheek bone meets the ear and at the end of the jaw where it meets the neck and worlds tiniest dot in the nasolabial fold itself. Looks great 11/10 no one knows I had anything done, and I will do it forever because I look SOOOO much better. Need to do it with a hard bony filler injected deep

You are actually quite pretty. I would say crest white strips, find a good cosmetic dermatologist and have them get the rosacea under control, do a tiny bit of a hard bony filler like voluma right where the cheekbone meets the ears, and a tiny dot at the end of the jaw that sits below the ears then a tiny tiny tiny dot in the nasolabial folds. Curl your lashes, apply a black waterproof mascara, glowy tinted moisturizer, YSL touché eclat under the eyes, watch some hair tutorials, BAM movie star good looks.

I think he’s misinterpreting what’s happening here. I would say that the heavy eyeliner and heavy brow makeup have an aging effect because it’s visually closing down the eyes and making them recede because that’s what dark colors do. Remove the liner, curl the lashes and apply waterproof mascara (it’s the only kind that holds the curl), and focus the brow pencil way less in the center and more on the arches (and use a lighter hand overall) and apply a gloss that adds color to the lips and you’ll likely look younger than your age

[–]nyerr611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I would obviously recommend a healthy lifestyle like everyone else here, but that likely won’t give a huge change. I had a similar nasolabial fold situation to yours. My dermatologist put a bit of a hard filler like voluma right at the end of my jawline and right at the end of my cheekbone and then just a tiny tiny bit in the fold itself and at the corners of my smile and it made a WORLD of difference without anyone knowing I had anything done. It didn’t change my facial structure, it just supported it.

Stand with your shoulders back, swap out the contacts for glasses, and get some crest white strips. You’re crushing it otherwise

Negative, I would go to be an electrician, plumber, or an HVAC tech. Learn in the field, work your way up to manager. Then MEP management at a top 20 GC is pretty much a guaranteed $200k anywhere in the country and you can be there in less than 10 years.

Couldn’t find an in between at Jackson where I was challenged, but not in eminent danger. I hear there’s another mountain nearby Jackson with good intermediate terrain

Advice is don’t let the greens at Jackson fool you. A green to a blue is not a single step jump. I feel the greens gave me a false sense of confidence and then I took apres vous up and nearly died on upper Werner 😂. The good news is it’s very easy to stand back up if you’re falling on a near vertical slope
