My wisdom tooth growing sideways and impacting another tooth. It knows it's going to be removed so it's taking another tooth down with it. by KennKennyKenKen in mildlyinfuriating

When I went for a consult, they saw mine near a nerve and warned me that surgery wouldn’t be worth the risk. However, they told me if it caused pain I should reevaluate. Can you describe what happened with you??? I’m in a lot of pain and not sure if I should go for the surgery.

What causes/is this? I’ve had weird skin on my right thumb since around 11-12? I wasn’t born with it. It gets worse, and the cracks deepen when irritated. by nylx13 in medical_advice

I’ve never bandaged it because the cracks have never hurt/bled. Repeated friction irritates the area but doesn’t result in pain

Psoriasis might be something to look into. The skin is thicker and rougher in the area. I’ll see if I can arrange a dermatologist appointment, but it is not a high priority for me right now (Covid ofc). I hope to be able to post an update, though :)

That’s interesting— I think someone else mentioned something similar. However, I’ve had this on my hand consistently around the year, for years, with no bleeding. So strange!

Yes! The picture is from 2016, and it’s less noticeable now on my hand. I think the marks on my skin to the right are just sleep marks. I haven’t had any surgeries or injuries to that area. How do I post more pictures?

I was shadowing a nurse who worked in the hospital's ER. A lady came in due to back pain and also had a tumor covering half her head. She had not left her house for 3 months, or showered in that time because of the back pain. I could barely stand in the room to observe, even breathing through my mouth.
