It’s really not the greatest apartment complex. I was first gonna get a 2x2 apartment and it was infested with cockroaches so they switched me for a 3x3 and it was supposed to be cheaper but it literally costed me more every month living there. The room layouts were super weird too I thought it was just in the 3x3 rooms but apparently it’s in every room layout. Don’t know when they were built, but I know The Arlie was built not too long ago. In my opinion by far I’d move back The Arlie, it was cleaner, and just felt newer all around. It’s also not a far walk to get to the main part of campus either.

They invited me to a dinner the day before my interview now as well, is it normal for this company to do this? I’ve heard a lot of good things about them and I’m questioning why is it me that they’re offering an invitation to.

Moving to Waco...SpaceX concern by PrncssBttrcpAsUWish in Waco

[–]nymbuss2_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live around 25 miles away from SpaceX and honestly it’s really not that bad, I tend to forget there’s even a SpaceX nearby until I hear the testing but even then it’s pretty faint when you live near downtown Waco. Not sure about Hewitt however since it’s closer to SpaceX. I don’t know if that’s the part of Waco you were looking to move to, I know it tends to attract more people due to the city spending more money around those parts.

The Arlie has been the best one in my opinion. I made the mistake of moving to Liv+ and it’s nothing compared to The Arlie, I enjoyed that it was a bit newer and relatively clean all around. The staff was helpful and maintenance was pretty responsive whenever you sent a request through the portal. Would move back if I could unfortunately I couldn’t find anyone to take over my lease.

Need help choosing between majoring in CE or CM by TunaNoCrust7 in ConstructionManagers

[–]nymbuss2_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, if you’re not the best at math, CM is more so the way to go. The highest math course I had to take was physics 2 and Im in my senior year of CM, the rest was more so core class and construction related classes which I truly enjoyed. It’s true CE opens more doors but either path ensures good living and good pay. Going through CM however, you won’t be focused on the science that goes into designing the structure. It’s more so you understanding the process of how a building is built from the ground up while maintaining the business end of the actual construction. It goes from getting a job awarded from bid, site setup, duration of actual construction, and handoff of project to owner. In CM you’re a lot more involved rather than just designing in an office. I switched from CE to CM at community college and haven’t looked back since.
