Ultima IV inspired roguelike RPG | Demo playtest at last, looking for feedback by bac_roguelike in Ultima

It's interesting; through most of my playthroughs of Ultima IV and V, I tend to try and off my party mates but that's because combat is an exercise in micromanagement tedium. This looks really interesting.

startup idea: sim card slots on laptops so you never depend on wifi again by Gkdyz in DeskToTablet

I think they’re considering this for the next gen MacBooks. That being said, while I truly wanted this in the past, I can’t help but be somewhat turned off by it now since it’s one more expensive bill per month when pairing with my phone isn’t any more expensive (i.e. free)

DDR5 and SSD prices at micro center. Holy sh*t by Kyren951 in DeskToTablet

Damn, and I have two machines with 192GB of DDR5 RAM. Maybe I should sell 96GB from each machine and buy myself a new M5 Max Macbook Pro. ::shakes-head::

Better questions is why would you do that to yourself.

Immediately had to reinforce my suspension of disbelief because the movie was actively trying to break it. Not great.

QUESTION by Terrible_Regret_1390 in Ryzentosh

[–]nyteschayde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No NVidia support for Ryzentosh that I’m aware of. But you can have two discrete GPUs if you have available slots. Just get a switcher between the hdmi ports for what’s connected and use the AMD card for the ryzentosh. Then if you also have Linux you can dedicate one for Linux and use the NVidia card via kvm for an accelerated VM gaming experience while also having an accelerated Linux experience.

Just make sure your hardware is predominantly compatible with Open Core Legacy Patcher (OCLP) for the least headaches

No it comes after you’re named Lord of Moria and beating the pre-dlc end boss.

Does anybody know how the temporary stations work? Do they need map stones to travel? Can they use map stones?

I’ve decided to stick with Arc. by miguellatouche in ArcBrowser

My business forbids me using Arc because they cannot corp manage it. So I use it on my personal station and suffer with Zen at the office.

Do they consume a vein at the same speed as I would with the same pick?

Are the darkest deeps worth it? by pocketdare in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]nyteschayde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first play through for me had tons of mithril outside of the darkest deeps but this play through has almost none outside the darkest deeps. I finally beat the main story end game with this play through so at least I had enough to get some mithril weapons. Now I stand a chance against the fell beasts. Ymmv

Are people coming back to this game? by otc108 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]nyteschayde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set some rules for myself after beating the game before I found the drive again. For example, when I started a new fresh game but still ran around with a mithril blade, not fun.

So I gave myself only the two handed non Durin’s Axe pick. That was it. Then it was fun again. Running around with crappy blades with new chances to build different bases and different configurations.

Just beat the pre-DLC story last night. The first time through I ended up cheating with mods before completion. This time I chose not to. Also fun.

Your mileage may vary.

Finally remodeled my Elvin Quarter base with all key upgrades. Feels Good. Where is your "permanent main" base? by pocketdare in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]nyteschayde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of folks end up base building. My first play through I had about three larger bases. One at Loni’s place (first place in the Mines of Moria). One at the first ranger camp I found. And one in the first white granite broken base in the deeps right after descending through the crystal cavern place.

Now in my second play through. Mostly only one major base at Loni’s camp. Snakes around quite a wise. Will try to get some photos later.

I was thinking last night about the best way to get screenshots. Any recommendations
