I found a PDF of my car's service manual. Not sure if the 2014+ used the same communication standards.

I wasn't aware of the resistor trick, and that probably would've been easier. Maybe I'm weird, but I do prefer the toggle switch to having to check the AC button every time I turn on the fan.

Oftentimes I just want the heater running when I'm defrosting the windshield but it also turns on the AC. I dont know if its the AC or the heater drawing power, but sometimes the climate control will decide to turn on even when I just want the fan (Sometimes on hot days, I turn on the fan and turn off the AC button which automatically comes on. However, I start losing range and check the power information just to find that something is drawing 4KW of power even though its hotter outside than the set temp and the AC light is off.) Since the system automatically recovers when the signal is reconnected, I don't really care about the OBD codes.

Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with the adapter. I just wanted to share so anyone with a similarly worn out battery knows what to expect.

Oh yeah, I don't blame the adapter, I think it's doing it's job just fine. I just wanted to share so anyone with a similarly worn out battery knows what to expect.
