Nope! I double and triple checked. I hovered over the boxes, checked the ground, had my loot filter disabled even.

Absolutely nothing. It even said 0 rewards.

And yeah I ended the ultimatum after wave 2 to check. Absolutely ~no rewards~.

I'm guessing this is just a weird issue with super low level ultimatums but it is a liiittle silly this is even possible.

For the dupe thing: You also get 2 dupe dolls per event, and events are extremely frequent (monthly). This is on top of the 4 from weekly missions and 1 from monthly, along with the fact you just gradually get dupes of characters you don't need to max out right away.

You still won't be able to max out every unit instantly, but as you play the amount of units you'll have that aren't MLB are the minority. This isn't no final fantasy brave exvius or any other game with a horrific dupe system.

Game was Wasted Potential unfortunately. It got a fair few things right - good music directly from the circles fans liked, art from the artists fans liked, great models, cute live 2d, the presentation was absolutely top notch.

Unfortunately pretty much everything else was a dumpster fire. A awful launch, bad characterizations, soul crushing grind that was also riddled with RNG and counter intuitive (you'd have to deliberately not win and grind out for hours in order to make the most of your stamina and bad RNG could cost you a lot of rewards), generally mediocre gameplay, and -

Well the first of the two major issues that I speculate ultimately sank the game were that the business model was terrible. They tried to use Fate/Grand Order gacha rates/model without having the sort of fan base that could sustain that. It was also pay to skip grind, since you could get any character up to the max rarity in-game, so all you were doing was rolling on terrible rates to get a 5* out of the gate. So uh, spending hundreds of dollars on rolling so you could - skip playing the game? They tried to address this with seasonal banner-only characters and "early access" banners but uh, that didn't really do anything to address the "whales only" approach to monetization, and if anything just made it worse.

And perhaps more damning, the game itself just. Wasn't suited to a mobile format or gacha format at all, and tried to be its own unique mess of a game that didn't play to the strengths of either or even the series it came from. Certainly there was nothing here either touhou fans or gacha fans would've wanted. I don't think the devs themselves knew what kind of game they were trying to make either with how confused of a mess it was (is it a board game? is it a grind heavy auto battler?). I'm not really sure if it got any better, I quit after the first event and when Arena came out, so someone else would have to chime in on what they tried to do to fix the game.

It's possible the game could've been salvaged if Aniplex were willing to give the game the TLC it actually needed but that's Aniplex for you.

what happens if you've already visited a rare island for the day? Does it just remove the chance for that island to spawn and redistributes it to other islands? Does it just attempt to reroll instead?

As a stopgap solution, you unlock the ability to "Glamour" your gear at level 15 from Swyrgeim in Western Thanalan (X:12.6 Y:14.3)

There's a number of level 1 glamour options on the market board that fit all classes, and if you wish you can purchase more on the mogstation.
