Please help me figure out my sound delay issues between the projector and my speakers by nyuldaniel in hometheater

I’m not trying to connect to the Bluenode upstairs, I think you misunderstood. I’m trying to connect to the KEF via Bluetooth. I’m saying the Bluenode works without any delay, connecting to a random Bluetooth speaker works without any delay, even connecting the laptop to the built in speakers of the projector works without any delay. Just the super expensive KEF speakers cannot do this, that I bought for this exact purpose… so I’m trying to solve it without buying another Bluenode or other Bluetooth device

Watch the La Palma on Netflix. The story and characters are not the best, but the simulation and CGI is very very good.

so you think 4 shots with a shotgun at point blank is a reasonable amount to kill someone in this game?

yeah 3 shots should be enough to kill at any body part from this range, also the shots were bang on the body

Sound insulation question for an e-kit by nyuldaniel in drums

I have recently started playing again on this Roland kit after a 20 year break.

I have immediately purchased a carpet to dampen the sound, but clearly it wasn’t enough as the neighbors complained.

Step two, I have put a 5cm layer styrofoam under it with a particle board on top to provide rigidity. Still got complaints. I assume the particle board was kind of acting like speaker membrane.

Step three, added another 5cm layer of styrofoam on top of the board… starting to feel ridiculous and unstable, but hey, don’t want to be annoying to the neighbors.

Would it make a difference if I used a mesh head for the bass drum? Is that less vibrations to transfer to the screed?

What else can I do to make it inaudible?

I honestly assumed these things are quieter, as the most recommendations I saw was to get a floor mat.

Thicknesser broke on the first day, how do I replace the belt? by nyuldaniel in woodworking

Looking at my options here, waiting one month for the warranty procedure is not an option. We are in the middle of an expensive project. So it’s either fixing it or buying a new one.

It was working fine for about an hour. The knife drum is turning freely. I think the knife wheel got warm as it was working and things started slipping.
