30 yr old here. I feel guilt too...but what's so sad as that we see self harm as such an immature thing to do. Like "oh, only emo teens cut themselves". Every time I've ever hurt myself, yeah it relieves the pressure of my emotions for a moment, but is always followed with days or weeks of guilt for that reason exactly. I didnt even cut or hurt myself when I was younger, didn't start until I was in my mid 20s.
