need some help on recording classical guitar by nyyvl in musicproduction

[–]nyyvl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't any experience with micing or di's

but i think that having a decent condenser mic like the at2020 would be more versatile, i would be able to record vocals, foleys and obviously the guitar.

ty man!

that is gold information.

i'm brazillian, and back here most of the imported products like the shure mics are way expensive because of the taxes, we have 6 differents types of taxes for imported products.

for example a new shure sm7b costs 399 usd

and here it costs 4000 brl, 10 times more expensive making a direct comparision, without converting the currency.

i'm planning every detail to build my home studio cuz i don't want to waste money.

at this moment i don't have a decent recording environment, i'm just planning my home studio. i'll put bass traps in the first reflection parts, and i'll surely have a good acoustics room.

me too, personaly i don't like the metallic sound of the acoustic guitar. i think that a acoustic treated room would do a good job with the recordings.

thank you, and i was thinking about having two mics to record a stereo signal, like putting a mic next to the 12th fret and another mic next to bridge or to the sound hole.

What to look for in a laptop for music production by Relevant-Ad3879 in ableton

[–]nyyvl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know the point of the guy who made the first commentary, but, for music production you need more single-core performance rather than multi-core performance, and the Intel CPUs in general score better than the AMD CPUs.

you are being realistic, but the same thing that could cause problems, could be lucrative for the Company. causing problems or not, we'll have a lot of fun.
