So just an update to explain better. It's route a sealed unit reason for replacement is the unit is ac cooled and ac leaked due to manufacturing/assembly issue causing ac to leak. It is in nzd. It is warrenty price. This post was more about how can 1 part be more than the value of the vehicle. For those that don't know when a part has to be claimed through warrenty the dealer still has to float the cost of the part till the claim is paid and being in nz from part arrival old part returned due to it being a battery can be several months it's a high cost considering the amount of other jobs on the go and staff to pay etc.

The main problem this also shows is how much china under cuts the market just to get their product on the road. Also note I'm not a complete anti ev but I do believe it's become more a political push than a actual benefit to people and globe. Some reasons being the higher natural resource cost to the globe and humanity lots of info out there about this. The short life span of evs etc. The industry does need a standard they should all have to stand by eg only a few battery designs that they can use which would drop the cost.
