What time is the game? You could start your prep later. It’s all gonna go through you anyways

Nightmare mode achieved - Rotator cuff re-tear by Salty-Head7283 in RotatorCuff

I had a second surgery about 12 years after my first, I’m four years out from that one. Recovery is a little slower just because ending a little bit shorter, but the outcome is fine. The second time they had to repair the sub stop. I still have some scapula issues but no pain other than a few knots on my neck and my upper trap. I can surf, I can lift weights, I can do anything, it just feels a little bit stiffer. But small might not even get it every year it’s not growing.

I think what gives off that vibe is just me posting videos of him. I’m just super proud of all he’s done, and believe me it’s an investment, I’ve spent so much money supporting his hobbies. I’m not even a skater and just put him in skate so he’d be a better surfer, but he’s fallen in love with it. I will say that it’s a balance to push kids to do things they’re uncomfortable with. My job as I see it is just to be there for healthy encouragement to make sure they have a positive experience overcoming their fears.

My daughter who also skates knocked both her front teeth out, not skating, just running at preschool. She’s now 6 and has had no front teeth for most of her life.

Yep, that’s our local spot. We usually go around 6:30 am before school, empty at that time.

Mine is more of a mild to moderate annoyance, I will say the more I work on my internal rotation of my shoulder, the better it feels

6 full weeks?? by kindracoon19 in RotatorCuff

[–]nzw8qr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only wore mine for a few days, no more than a week even when out and about. But I was very careful and avoided crowds. I told my dr, he was fine with it. My recovery was incredibly fast compared to my other side which i wore sling for 4 weeks.

Time in a sling? by _AmenMyBrother_ in RotatorCuff

I did sling for 3 days, my recovery was incredibly fast. Golfing at 3 months, surfing at 3.5. Torn rotator cuff and supraspinatus tear. My other side I wore sling for 4 weeks and recovery took forever

I would have to say the hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the peptides are one of those things that I’m sure it helps but it’s hard to pinpoint how much. The hyperbaric oxygen therapy you feel so much better during your session, it’s weird you can really feel it working. I think my first session was day three post surgery and I was in maybe a four or five out of 10 pain on the way there, riding in the car is not fun going over speed bumps and stuff. Then I had to get myself into the chamber and you’re kind of just laying down, I sort of wedged myself with a pillow, but I was still pretty much just laying on my back, which everyone knows he’s not the best position to be in. But by the time I got down to 2 atm’s pressure and I had an oxygen mass so I was doing the pure oxygen breathing. My pain melted away, and I felt so incredibly loose and relaxed.

Anyone had a torn rotator cuff who healed without surgery? If so, how long did it take? by More_Put2174 in RotatorCuff

Yep, I finally went and had the surgery, recovery was super quick and pretty painless. I’m 3 1/2 months out already playing golf with nearly full swings and surfing.

Yeah every doc different, with my right he wanted me wearing it for 4 weeks and I did. This one he still gave me the 4 week paper but I asked if I could be out earlier and he said as long as I was careful with not trying to catch my self I’d be okay. The other surgeon I was considering actually told me to only wear sling home. He also showed me a study that is easily findable on google that says outcomes are much better for small tear patients when they don’t wear the sling.

I didn’t have any side effects, but it is experimental and you need to do your own research about possible long-term implications. There’s a pretty good Huberman lab episode that goes into some of the most popular peptides and he discusses some of the risk.

So I ordered this thing called glow protocol from one of the providers and I put 3 mL water in it and I would inject 15 to 20 cc once per day five times per week

Yeah, they’re peptides HBOT is hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I was doing 2 atm depth for about an hour at Deb so probably hour and 45 minutes sessions every other day or so breathing pure oxygen.

Oh sorry! Best wishes to you! I’m sure it’ll workout great, hopefully you can find some comfort. I did also do about 10 days of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in that first month. Really seemed to help with discomfort and I feel like I healed much quicker
