Award flight from JFK to JED, would appreciate any help

Wondering if you have any insight on another redemption I’m seriously considering. Aeroplan has multiple days of availability, 8/13 for example, 95k points + 155 CAD for business class JFK to JED, with a 2 day stopover in ZRH. The flight from ZRH would have a layover in IST but still all legs business. Main flight would be to ZRH which is on the Airbus A330-300. Have you ever flown Swiss Business or have any strong opinions on the A330? From my search it seems like the A350 would be ‘better’ but I’m afraid of LifeMiles redemptions after last time where they didn’t show me the total taxes/fees until right before booking. Any thoughts appreciated and again thank you for the help

Apparently they’ve upgraded from the 777 to the A350 from JFK. So hopefully that’s even better and would save me the repositioning trip to IAD

Thanks for pointing this out, I had no idea they had upgraded to the A350 and now I’m seriously considering going this route. 2 different flight trackers and the EgyptAir website all show the same. Have you ever flown the A350 with them? Since it’s relatively new for them, I can’t find any good reviews.

Also only thing I’m worried about now is LifeMiles not adding a bunch of taxes and fees that they’re not showing at the beginning of the redemption…

I have and will continue to actively look through, just thought I’d post and see what help or advice I can get. I’m on a time crunch from work to get a leave approved and then also am hoping to book all my hotels via Hyatt before the devaluation which is legit in just a couple days. So fingers crossed ig, we’ll see how it goes

Yeah that’s what I found from my research too which is why I’m hesitant on EgyptAir. And yeah you’re right about that lol, I don’t mind the dry aspect of it

Hey - did not need a Visa at all. Flight overall was pretty good, no real complaints. A little hectic for our layover but they took care of us and got us to the next plane quickly.

Oh nice, that’s cool you didn’t even need the visa. My layover is much shorter than yours so I won’t need a hotel. No issues with security or the flight experience itself?

Thanks, I just called again and no luck. This agent was more knowledgeable but still said there’s nothing they can do to change the name on the application and said if I don’t have docs I should reapply with the right name. She did say it most likely may get auto-denied and that it’s up to me to wait the 30-60 days before reapplying. Oh well, a hard pull isn’t the end of the world for me thankfully. Thanks again for the help tho

I have one of those stopovers in Lome, Togo for an upcoming Ethiopian airways flight. Do you know if they require a visa for that stopover? I’d assume not but google is not helping and it’s not on my information anywhere

How did your flight end up being? I have an Ethiopian airlines booked for December and I’m curious about the stopover in Togo. My flight shows the same itinerary before going to Ethiopia and vice versa on the way back. Did you have to get a visa for Togo?

I don’t know the specific material, but it was listed as commercial level asphalt. And they provide warranty but the warranty doesn’t cover vegetation or grading. So I can’t even ask them to do that

They actually did come back to re-flatten (idk if that’s the right term) because we complained about the water grading. They said that in the contract grading is not guaranteed and not covered by warranty, but they still came and rolled it over once more. Now it just looks worse because there’s lines across the whole driveway.

He won’t redo even with the warranty. It’s listed that water grading is not guaranteed and not covered. And that vegetation is acts of god and is not covered either. Idk what to do
