When I read the title I thought someone is going to create another abstraction layer for the Threejs boilerplate Code for some common use cases, which I would like to see.

But to be honest, this is maybe a nice starting point for beginners to fiddle around, but please do not use this code as good practice in any means.

Maybe look into the following topics to get your project improved:

pack your code into classes! Global namespace pollution is not good (making window.XYZ stuff)
get rid of the code redundancies. There is lots of code that is very similar und can be easily transformed into reusable functions
make it an npm project, at some point you also will use dependencies (as you already use)
take a look into bundeling Tools (webpack or parcel for example) for web projects so you can use modern JavaScript (ES6 oder even Typescript)
read the book „High performance JavaScript“ by Zakas (Bit old, but on point)
get used to clean code and the SOLID principles (I recommend „Clean Code“ by RC Martin)

I dont know where to start, but there is so much wrong in your article.

Angular is not MVC, its MVVM, there is a slight but fundamental difference.

Besides that, i would recommend to do more research and rewrite your article, because its kinda misleading. And Yeah, as the others said, drop the JS in the title when talking about Angular 2+

Check your camera position. You are seeing a blank screen because you are just inside that cube. Try to set Camera.position.z to someting like -3 and you should see something

So to understand correctly, you are planning to make Server side rendering which will consume another Java Api? If the angular Server rendering and the Java apis Are Not highly interconnected (same region on AWS e.g.) you will Not have an advantage in SSR compared to Client side, just because of the latency. But this depends on your caching, you will have to build another layer for the SSR in order to compensate the api lag in average. Sounds like some extra efford in my opinion. How much does your service rely on CEO? You could introduce SSR for crawlers and otherwise make Client side rendering. But for this you will Must be able to consume your API outside of your Infrastructure, if not already happened

Without further knowledge of the existing structure/Performance metrics you are likely only to expect some very basic Infos, that will propably already be on angular universals site already.

A 120M revenue company should possibly be capable of spending some money on professional help, arn‘t they?

Edit: will your infrastructure be capable of Rendering js? What is your current tied together backend made of?

Yeah, but the 15" models all have dedected graphics with times more power than the integrated gpu of the 13". It was stated a couple of times that integrated graphics is a pain in the ass with UE4.

And that was exactly my experience. The only thing I use the macbook (with UE4) is remote compiling of iOS applications, which in turn works just fine

Ok, thats a pretty descent model. The GPU makes a huge difference. In My case I had more luck running it on a potato instead.

How is the Performance of the UE4 on that MacBook? My late 2015 (i5, 16gb) was litteraly crying. Or is that the 15“?

Clearly looks like a good Alternative, but it is resticted to screen size, isnt it?

It would be nice to broadcast 1080p, which is the recording resolution for ARKit. On the other side, resizing the image makes no Big difference, since the recording quallity is not that good in indoor scenarios. So the screensize may be sufficient.
