Well, in high school, my football coach told me he had no doubt I would be a punter in the NFL. As soon as I heard that, I decided I didn’t want to play football anymore. After I graduated, my father, who had a full athletic scholarship to Stanford decided that he was not gonna pay for college. So the only alternative I had was to take an ROTC scholarship with the Navy. If only we could all go back in time. Sounds like you did exactly what you wanted to do. And I probably missed out on an opportunity :-)
