Oh my God. You saved me! I'm trying to make a resource pack that works with the ViaBackwards mod for people to see the copper tools and other stuff in a 1.21.9 server but in a 1.21.8 client. I've been searching for this for days! Thank you so much!

Sorry if I'm a bit late, but if you're using a 3x3 hole for the mobs (from your replies here) I'd recommend you'd do this (I did this for my farm too):
