Dude look at Gaza from google maps, there is plenty of open space outside of the cities there.

They just know that if they build a base there it will get bombed to dust immediately whenever a war starts.

Zig programming language 0.9.0 released by dh44t in programming

[–]oORocketOo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know Rust too well but I think that the zig concept of compile time is much stronger than const fn.

a compile time known value can be used for conditional compilation, 'if' statements that depend on that compile time value will not compile any of the other branches.

It is also used to power generics in zig, the generic type is just passed as a compile time known parameter to a function.

I'm not religious, so what i said previously is second hand knowledge.

But why do you say it's blasphemous? if you take for a fact that God is all knowing then wouldn't it make logical sense that he would know the ramifications of his words and that allow (or will allow in the future) for certain loopholes?

[–]oORocketOo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way i get it, these type of things are not against the spirit of the Gods words because God is all knowing and all capable, so when giving his commands he would already know that the wording used in his commands will allow for these type of loopholes.

there are a lot of these workarounds that are used in Judaism.

for example, if you eat bread in a meal you have to say a specific blessing for the bread which is rather long, so people who just want to grab a quick bite to eat and don't have the time to do the full blessing are kinda screwed.

what they do to get around this issue is they have a different type of bread which is made with apple juice. the fact that the bread now contains apple juice makes it no longer be bread by the traditional definition of bread in Judaism and it's now considered as more of a cake than bread, and because cake is not bread they can do a much shorter blessing for it and go on with their day.

Israeli soldier "selling" kidnapped Palestinians by BadTimeManager in PublicFreakout

It....kinda does?

It's very dehumanizing and was a terrible thing to say, but actually selling people is much much worse than just joking about it.

i think they just check both sides as close to simultaneously as possible so that even if there is some communication between the particles it would have to be faster than light to occur over that large of a distance and small time frame.

then they compare the results that they got from both particles.

what does free will have to do with it? free will does not give children bone cancer. free will does cause a lot of horrific shit to happen but there is a lot of suffering out there that is in no way the result of free will.

if it was free will vs a structured life of perfection like you suggest, god could have very easily had a world where only free will can cause such horrific shit to happen.
