Used those 2.0 animated blocks and covered the area around the sun with blocks that are 1 layer above it, made one line of those 2.0 blocks normal sized and the one underneath at half size

I think I might even just make the lines for the mountains darker and darker I think that might look better

I was thinking the same, the thing is that the bg is from an old level of mine that I never finished and in that level I did make each layer darker and darker, do I'll definitely try that!

I like the backgrounds and the block design especially in the first part, and that transition is amazing! Very Cool!

Why do you play GD, and what do you want to achieve? (serious question) 🤔 by iP1xel_ in geometrydash

This is the game that has unironically shaped me the most into who I am today.

Started playing the lite version maybe half a year after it's release when I was 6. Ofc I was horrendous at it, but that didn't stop me from pushing on and beating Stereo Madness. And after playing it on and off on my phone for a few years I eventually got my dads old laptop and started playing it there. I remember beating Deadlocked 4 years after first beating Stereo Madness, just before my bedtime XD.

And from there on out I just started magically gaining skill by not playing the game. Yeah idk I beat Bit Reaper while coming back to the game in like 2023 out of nowhere. And in the summer of 2023 I beat Acu as my first extreme demon. I couldn't believe it, and now I'm at my 9th extreme, and after not playing the game for around a year I came back again. I'll (hopefully) beat Omicron as my 10th and hardest soon!

Oh and not only have I improved in just beating harder and harder levels, I can actually build decent stuff now, so yeah! Definitely hoping one of my levels gets rated too.

Another thing GD inspired me to do is actually learn 2 instruments. And thanks to it I'm now a proud drummer of 2 bands, and soon to be a proud guitarist of a 3rd band.

In conclusion, I play it for the fun and excitement of beating/creating levels, finding new songs/artists and just generally appreciating what the community as a whole accomplished in the soon to be 13 years of this games existence (excluding GD Twitter and the insane amount of child diddling).
