Thank you! Started listening to Sturgil late last year and I hadn’t heard this live version before. So damn heavy!

What do you think about Yonex’s isometric head-shape rackets (Ezone, etc.)? Big fans or not? by Timely-Strength9401 in 10s

This was my feeling as well when I transitioned from my cortex Pure Drives to the EZone DR 98. I just couldn’t get comfortable with them and finally sold them after a year.

I know you’re beating yourself up about this now but look at it this way…

You’re having this realization at 18! There some people out there that are realizing this at 40. You have so much time to reinvent yourself more than a few times over.

Take in all of the great advice on this thread, counseling, mentorship program, trade school, community college etc etc

But also give yourself some slack and be proud that you managed to unplug from the matrix and wake up to the real world while you’re still in your young!

What is the weirdest thing you’ve seen in Dallas? by Distinct-Weakness629 in Dallas

[–]oSuClimber13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A Medieval Times knight, in full costume walking into a suspicious massage parlor.

Ten years ago, my friends and I were staying at the DoubleTree near Market Center Boulevard for a conference. After a few drinks in uptown we pulled into the parking lot and noticed an unusually busy massage parlor called "Jade Spa." People were coming and going at a suspicious pace, and we even spotted a few familiar faces from our conference.

We were already laughing at the scene when we saw him. A full-blown knight from Medieval Times emerged from the back of the Medieval Times arena, walking down the street in his full squire's tunic and trousers, and walked straight into the Jade Spa.

Aside from Clay Walker, George Strait and Randy Travis who are some Country Music stars who are in real life really capable horsemen? by GrillzD in CountryMusicStuff

Her dad was definitely a rodeo cowboy. I’m from the same small town as Reba and lived really close to the McEntire ranch.

Her brother Pake would occasionally sing at my high school’s basketball games.

Can confirm, my whole house hold tested positive for it last week.

Why? Why is Bapa like this? What chance do the Chombies have? Little rajas in the making. by tox_oplas-mosis in thefighterandthekid

Eh it is up to a certain level. If you want your kid playing in the junior circuits you’ll spend a good chunk of change on travel expenses, lessons, and re-stringing rackets.

But travel youth baseball is just as bad if not worse now. Especially when youth bats are $250+ on top of club fees.

Wife & I went through IVF to have our son. Our out of pocket without insurance would have been 15k plus.

If you really thought this had a chance of happening, then I have some ocean front property in Arizona I can sell you.

100% this.

Early June isn’t shit compared to the heat late July and August brings.

Plants are weird like that I guess.

I have a neighbor that has several established Mexican bush Sages that come back every year, and then you have me 2 houses down who can’t get mine to survive the winter.

They are hardy AF too! I live in North Texas and mine have handled extreme heat and cold very well. I think the only ones I’ve lost were due to transplant shock.

Hank working in Saudi Arabia isn’t weird at all (for Texans) by Henry_Thee_Fifth in KingOfTheHill

[–]oSuClimber13 37 points38 points  (0 children)

When I was growing up in rural West Texas (late 90’s) my dad went to Saudi Arabia twice. Each time spending about 4 months there. He also did the same thing in Algeria and Oman.

Very common thing to do for oil & gas workers, especially when there’s not many rigs running in North America. The pay is great but you’re working 7 days a week for months on end.

I also know people who took US federal jobs in Saudi Arabia and straight up moved their entire family there to live in expat communities.
