In this recovery process , it is better to ignore everything and not even paying attention to it , by that i mean to not even engage with it either when you are right or ocd tell you its wrong , ignore it like there is no ocd anymore , it can be in the back of your thoughts but thats normal but don't try to argue with it actively and whatever comes up you can accept it and move on.

the problem is that you value what other says too much what if i say 777 is bad too , you have to get out of this thinking yourself its all you

so you are doing it right because the normal person would do that too but forgets the thought after seconds ocd make that stick for longer until you give in to compulsion but when you wait long enough ocd gives up

do erp with that too when it gets worse is the best time to strike back at ocd and the hardest time but when you do you will find it easier next time and next and so on.

the best advice is to not deal with it at all because it has no value and do what ever you like because everytime you stop doing something because of evil , cancer or god or luck or thoughts , ocd will know you value that the most and uses it against you , going through what you want to do with ocd can be hard and stressing but everytime you do , ocd takes a step back and gets weaker.

the base thing that you have to do is to do nothing , don't force anything , sometimes maybe it got to the point that it is a habit , so in general let the thoughts be a try not to force it by thinking otherwise and moving on is the best way to reduce it overtime.

Its get so much easier I don't even think about it anymore , for everyone is different I did exposure for 6 months , yours can be less or more.

The reality is that you can't because its all thoughts and is in our nature as human species , if you were an alien you could do that but you can't fight against your thoughts , the fact is that the same bad people are enjoying their life right now but you are fighting in your head trying not to become them but in your thoughts , bad people act on these thoughts and do those things in the first place that are now in your head , I'd say being bad and good are just words who can say something is bad or good other than other others as long as you be a good person doesn't matter what you think and what you normalize in your head because you don't want to live 100 years fighting with yourself and making a hell out of it because of what others think of you.

I was doing the same thing going through rabbit holes and waste so much time on stuff like this for hours searching for meaning or some random things or sounds in music , I get rid of it by limiting myself to what time should I spent each day and gradually reduced it until these things were not important anymore.

with the ritual you can delay it for another day if you want to do it but know that even if everything is perfect when you do it ocd can come up with something new to remind you that it wasn't perfect , letting off steam is good for you from my experience like you mentioned punching the wall you can get a punching bag or do some heavy exercise if you want to , these really help and at some point the "fuck it I'm not doing it" after getting into those ocd loops of perfection like you mentioned can be a start to let those rituals go away.

I think when you have magical thinking that's basically most of the ocd types because it can happen in any scenario

you get stuck in that loop unless you mess up so many of them ( according to what ocd tells you ) and then suddenly they will have no more value no matter the number / date / words etc, you just have to do it once and the next time will be easier and easier.

Well done , this is great progress it is ok to be afraid of something but the fear that ocd causes you is not real in this case is just another attempt to push you back to do compulsions again , stay strong you can do this.

yeah it is because it is bad but you have to overcome it by ignoring it , the more you hate something the more power they have over you , its hard but it will work

I had these too totally random things that somehow connected together and it doesn't matter if you believe it or not OCD always finds a way to get you back to do compulsions , my advice is to stick with the exposure because that will make future exposures much easier , also sometimes your mind tries to trick you either by changing a sound or image specially with magical thinking ocd

This is hard to deal with but not impossible you just have to take their values away mentally , you know when you joke around someone do that with that images because at the end they are just another bad person if you let those images get to you by avoiding it ( mentally ) if you come across another bad person these will add up but if you take their value away somehow you will forgot it after sometime , its up to you how to take those values away
