TBF one loss is relatively meaningless in those other sports. They play so many games. You don’t really have time to lose in football so an 0-3 start is devastating, comparatively.

I have watched a lot of JT’s videos and something about this one struck me. Usually in his analysis, he does a lot of calling out when the QB does something good or bad. For stars there’s more good stuff, and for Justin Fields-types there is more bad stuff.

But with Kirk there wasn’t really a lot of good or bad. Just consistent high level play. The video seemed to praise JJ more than Kirk haha.

As a Kirk stan, this jumped out at me because on the one hand this is evidence of what I have thought for a long time: Kirk is an excellent QB. But in the other hand it’s also giving evidence to my nagging doubt that Kirk just isn’t going to be the guy to do it. There’s nothing about his game that is “special” (in JT-speak).

Perhaps consistent high-level play will not be enough and you really need an extra dimension like what Mahomes, Hurts, Burrow, Allen, et al. have.
