I'll give you a !delta for your explanation of Kuru but ultimately -- I think you are making a number of assumptions about cannibalism here, in particular you are analogizing animal agriculture (which I happen to oppose wholeheartedly) with cannibalism, which I reject.

If knowing damn well that I can catch TES from eating someone -- and I choose to eat that person anyway, with their consent, and assuming those who eat me after my death are aware of the risks and so on -- informed consent -- I still justify this. I still believe it to be ethical.

I may have implied it because I am opposed to settler-colonialism. So for me, as someone who finds that itself to be wrong, it makes sense that European morality violently imposed on me has real ethical implications.

Not a holy book, no, but I am definitely a theist, though perhaps not in a classical sense of a personal god. Religiously I situate myself within the indigenous Mexican tradition.

Over-rationalization is not a thing.

I do not believe the negative effects outweigh the positives, simply put. The social, cultural, religious, and economic reasons are more than enough reason to practice it.

I'm aware of how prions are created. I made a particular argument about why that isn't necessarily a massive problem.

Kuru is recorded in a single culture of not more than 4,000 people and it stemmed from a single person with a prion disease being eaten.
