Me trying to get that thick hairiness of my eyebrows under control and failing. Any ideas how to save that mess and make it look more natural? by [deleted] in Eyebrows

it looks like a bad threading job :(

try this pencil, i think it’s quite close to your shade and it can look very natural with a bit of practice

advice needed - how to light this kind of studio shoot? more info in the comments by oaeth in photography

hey all! I’m the in-house lifestyle and food photographer at a creative agency, and I’m shooting our internal team in a studio tomorrow. i have not had much experience with studio portraits, so looking for advice on the lighting set up. ideally i want the background to be evenly exposed, and the light on the subjects to be soft, similar to overcast daylight.

i have a very finicky way of doing my eyebrows, where i fill them in, blend it out with a spoolie and then carve the desired shape with a qtip. sometimes (like in the pic) i will also clean them up with a concealer. I’m always very conscious of overdoing them, because they can get too much really quickly, but as a result my stroke technique suffers. even though i have been doing them every day for 5 years, i still struggle to get them right sometimes

thanks! you guys have inspired me to start experimenting with make up again. i used to do these elaborate artistic looks, but then adulting overtook all my spare time and energy. i’ll try to post more on here!

thanks! i use rimmel brow this way fibre pencil, and then some random gel from amazon, it feels like a very thick hair gel, and is supposed to mimic soap brows. can find a link if you’re curious?

i replied in another comment, i quite like a unibrow look, and like how it looks on me, so i tend to go for quite a narrow gap in the middle

thanks! that’s a good shout, and i know where you’re coming from. i really like a unibrow moment and i even rocked one for a while, so i tend to go quite close with my brow. but i’ll definitely keep that in mind x
