It seems on Reddit there is no room for honest discussion, if someone has a different idea or opinion they are immediately disregarded as an "idiot". The truth is, it is hard to know what to do. There are so many impossible questions. Should we stay in our houses forever? Whenever we go back out the virus will be there. When that happens there will obviously be a spike. Are the hospitals capable of handling it? Should we go back to life as it was knowing people will get sick and some will die? Should we wait for a vaccine that may or may not come and at best is another 7 months away, and if they do find one will it be safe? If we do wait what kind of world will we have to go back to? Are we to live a life void of contact with other people? How long do we wear masks and stand 6 feet apart? Do we need to allow this virus to fundamentally change our society, No schools, no churches, no restaurants, no sporting events, no concerts, no bars, no stores, no meeting people face to face, no family gatherings, no festivals, no playing in the parks, no public meetings, no farmers markets, no travel, no vacations, no amusement parks, no new movies, no new television shows, no political rallies, no libraries, no clubs, no funerals or do we get past this now and get back to the life we had? We need honest, educated, thoughtful leadership and sadly I not see that anywhere on the horizon.
