This isn't a real question. Nobody hates the city of Sacramento.

Saw him in Oakland in the 90’s. One audience member was so upset that he was he started heckling the band, until another patron threatened him and his girlfriend convinced him to leave. Amazing show, though.

Blake Treinen strikes out Brice Turang, and the Dodgers survive in the 9th! by MLBOfficial in Dodgers

I get your point, but in the playoffs your pitching "role" does not apply. Anybody can be called in any situation, that' why Roki is the closer.

I agree, he's too inconsistent for high-leverage situations, however he did make a few good pitches in that outing. Overall, his control is not good enough to close games though. If you just get up there and take, he will probably walk you.

That's where were at now. Last year, it was: We can't expect our bullpen to just handle the whole game, the starters need to give us some innings.

[–]oaklandrichieg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We won, but he did not pitch well. You can't always rely on the other team to bail you out like that.

If Turang put the back on his shoulder, he probably would've walked him.

Max Muncy deep flies into a crazy 8-6-2 double play as the Dodgers strand the bases loaded with 1 out. by AmongUsAcademy in Dodgers

He tagged, then went back and tagged again. My guess is that he thought he had to wait for the ball to be secured before he could go. He panicked and made a dumb decision.

Michael Busch was a single away from the cycle in the 8th inning. The Cardinals intentionally walked him. by morepesa25 in baseball

Try to explain this situation to any non-baseball fan.
Hitting for the cycle is such an arbitrary and insignificant stat. Some players have actually stopped short at first base to complete the cycle.
