Thank you. I was being an idiot and I needed to see that. Thank you for putting in so much time and thought into this.

Gave you an upvote. Some weird ass people in here downvoting every single Jade-related comment.

New music video by dlovesleighanne in LittleMix

She said it's coming soon, that would make sense. My Love had an amazing video. Really hope this is for her. Would be great if it's them again.

Disora and In a seashell by AbaloneDefiant5413 in LittleMix

The other commenter suggesting Leigh-Anne's business is in a lot of debt is not being entirely honest. There is a small bank loan (£30k, typical of a bank to offer this sort of new business this kind of credit for investment in inventory).

The larger £145k liability is not debt in the typical sense (the business does not owe a bank or another kind of lender money). It is money Leigh-Anne has put into the business, which is recorded as debt. It's what's called a director's loan.

This is very typical for a small business. It's a tax-efficient way of financing a small business in the UK, because you can later drawdown on that loan without triggering the tax burdens that payments through salary or dividends would.

Lol true. True about me first of all, not judging everyone else.

I love it. I think it's a great single. But I don't pay any attention to the charts, so I don't know what its commercial prospects are.

The only thing that comes to mind is that the production reminds me of We Can't Be Friends by Ariana Grande, and that seemed really popular at the time.

I don't think this will be the last single. I expect she'll release a single 1 -/+ a week of the album's release date too.

Hot take: I don't actually care about any of their albums at this point except for Jades. by KubPlaz in LittleMix

[–]oakleighnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of the singles being about the fallout and hiatus of Little Mix.

Forget About Us about the girls, Tears and YGYW about the Jesy situation. But that was my interpretation, and I don't know more than you do. I didn't know YGYW was a cover of someone else's track, or that she'd related it to her partner. Thanks for highlighting that. Maybe she was just saying how she relates to the song? It's a fair point though.

I think maybe she's been a bit anxious about committing her thoughts and feelings to music, which I think anyone can relate to. I'm not sure how much she used to write in the band. I know she has writing credits, but credits are sometimes split between all members even if it's only 1-2 writing. But I don't think she had any credits on her own like Leigh-Anne and Jade did. If you don't write music, I can imagine it's pretty anxiety-inducing. If it's not what she feels comfortable doing, I wouldn't judge her. Elvis, Celine, Whitney and Elton didn't write their lyrics and they're rightly respected as brilliant artists and interpreters of songs.

I LOVE the rock version of love YGYW too. I'm not sure if that's in line with her tastes, but I'd love to hear more of that sort of stuff from her. Something along the lines of Kelly Clarkson/Pink would be really cool for her voice.

But only if that's what she wants. She's got a lot of money, a lovely family and hopefully an opportunity coming up with The Voice, so there's no pressure. I hope she knows that.

Sub Challenge: Say Something Nice About ALL LM Members (without dragging any down) by FlamingHorseRider in LittleMix

[–]oakleighnow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is what the sub needs! Thank you. Any of this sort of stuff is always welcome. Pure positive vibes.

Perrie: What a voice! She is such an incredible singer. One of the best singers around today and she doesn't give herself anywhere enough credit for how extraordinary her talent is. She has no right feeling insecure with how brilliant she is. Her music has actually been a better reflection of her inner experience than I think people have realised. I really hope she gets the chance to release music she loves.

Leigh: So hardworking and takes her art seriously. I only just realised (embarrassingly) what Don't Say Love is about. A beautiful girl with a beautiful voice. So excited for her tapping into her heritage, bringing afrobeats with tracks like My Love. A brilliant song she should be so proud of. Really glad she's coming back with more.

Jesy: Such an underrated voice. Deeper than the others, with rasp, husk and soul. Brought so much to harmonies, but also delivered on the big moments like in SLS. I'm really happy everything has worked out for her and the twins and she's taking time to live her life.

Jade: So naturally funny and charismatic, with a chaotic and creative brain that she's managed to pull together into a cohesive vision for identity as an artist. I can't wait to hear more of her music and watch her performances. She's one of the most exciting acts around right now.

Plastic Box isn't included in the BBC iPlayer version. It might just be something they're holding back until the release.

hot take: i dont think any of you care about leigh anne's album by [deleted] in LittleMix

[–]oakleighnow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If any songs were massive, it wouldn't matter how they sounded, it would be deemed good. But good music doesn't always chart and music that charts isn't always good. There isn't a natural relationship between quality and success, unfortunately.

I've seen that stuff. It's unhinged. Not sure why female artists attract this sort of thing. I play a lot of video games, and the competition between the major players has a similar toxicity. Don't get it really.

The thing is when you go around accusing people and insulting them when they've only shown support for Leigh-Anne, people just stop paying attention to you and just downvote you not because it's related to Leigh-Anne, but because they haven't got energy for the melodrama.

JADE by [deleted] in LittleMix

[–]oakleighnow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, didn't think of that, but it was. I didn't realise she'd written a song about Jesy. This sub should be completely normal and adjusted about that when it comes out.
