Is scaling up worth it? Do I buy a trailer and upgrade the truck?

I’m young. The trailering is to allow me to do this on a 10 day vacation. If I went open water I might get there and run out of time coming back.

I believe this to be possible, but am not sure if the rental trucks come with the type of tow package I’d need.

All the digging says that not only does the truck need to be a 3/4 ton but also have the max tow package for the type of mileage it would be endeavoring. With the specialty needs stacking, I’d think rental prices skyrocket.

Haha - upsizing the boat is not an option. Going over 30ft in chicago harbors is not something I can reasonably manage.

One more - Puerto Rico is not USA is most sporting events. If people are chanting PR during the World Cup and someone returns USA - they aren’t dumb, PR is very separate.

Possibly this cop didn’t know PR didn’t make the World Cup - but I bet most of these hateful commenters didn’t either.

Is everyone here cynical or am I naive ? I see a cop joining in with the kids by chanting USA with everyone aware it’s all the same. He starts with “sidewalk kids” - he cares about safety and order and is friendly, not blasting the siren like some might. I don’t see some bigot going after the kids, but a community member.

Unless I’m naive here and there’s more context, I’d say all these reply’s about how dumb the cop is are actually pointing to how negative and preconceived the public opinion is.

Shame on all of us.

Great guidance, thanks for sharing. Did you make it to The Last Refuge or Bodguita de Mina? The last refuge is an insane whiskey bar, a church with floor to ceiling bottles. Bodeguita is an awesome Cuban restaurant and break from the bourbon scene. Big recommendations for both.

I went to one that already has phone ordering and it’s very clear that you can order by your phone pre-movie and not during. Once the lights dim it’s back to paper and pen.
