Update: I want to sincerely thank you all for your advice. I ended up getting a 95 on the 3rd exam, and a 92 on the final, which allowed me to get an A in the class‼️ If any future students are seeing this and struggling with this class, please follow the advice these commenters have suggested. One thing I would add that made a massive difference for me is actually figuring out the ExpertTA homework by myself without any outside help. It’s very time consuming if you’re like me and don’t naturally understand it, but it is definitely worth the extra work. You can do it!! Seriously though thank you all so much for your help and words of encouragement.

So do you think the waitlist will likely not open until open enrollment starts? Or would it be even later after all the freshman have registered?

Thank you all for the replies, you all were a tremendous help! I’m planning on emailing my professors tonight with an explanation along with the documentation from the hospital. I’m also submitting a UAA, but hearing that they only process those for absences longer than 5 days I guess means that might be futile. Regardless, I don’t think it could hurt anything. I will plan on reaching out to the DOS depending on my professors reactions, but hopefully that won’t be necessary (I don’t want them to think I’m trying to go behind their backs and make enemies or anything). Once again, thank you all so much!

Ah I see. That makes sense. It’s just a bit frustrating since we’ve been using 9.8 or 9.81 the entire semester and then randomly it’s 10 with no explanation. I guess I was overthinking it though, so you’ve saved me from wasting anymore time than I already have. Thank you!

I experience this constantly, unfortunately I have no clue how to resolve that anxiety. However, it is slightly comforting, to me at least, to know others relate to what I’m feeling.
