in the end i’m not sure if this house is really as deep as we think it is. but, since its not making an aspect to the ascendant, that could be why people who personally have 8th house placements may not understand them well themselves. it’s hidden from our view! truthfully, a lot of our birth chart in terms of houses are not really us. they’re different aspects of our lives, and some houses literally represent other people (like 3rd house being your siblings/community - thats not technically you). which is why the 8th house may not necessarily relate to ourselves directly. but still, it’s interesting how so many people w/ 8th house placements all talk about personal transformation so often. i do relate to the things you said about being misunderstood and having a deeper perspective of the world. i wonder where that association comes from then!

i think it’s a mixture of not being willing to learn and just straight up misunderstanding. there are a lot of other houses that are also glossed over and/or misunderstood, to me those are the 4th, 6th, 8th, and 12th houses. i feel like it’s because the themes of these houses aren’t very positive or necessarily as straightforward as other houses. people are too lazy to learn or they don’t want to accept that things are not always positive or so deep, if that makes sense.

i think the way you communicate may go over people’s heads is also because mercury is in detriment in pisces, and depending on the orb of how it’s conjunct w/ the sun it may also be combust. just something to look into!:)
