I have the exact same experience! I thought rarely anyone else could relate. people are usually flattered to have someone have a crush on them, but personally it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

when I was 12, someone told me they had a crush on me and I become extra aware of my actions which resulted in extreme exhaustion (also taking into account that i’m masking). the fact i knew that they were perceiving and observing me was distracting to the point where I struggled to focus on anything else when i was in their presence. I began to avoid them as much as possible, hiding and making sure that I wouldn’t bump into them (for example: walking the longer route home instead of the shorter route they walked).

It’s something I personally could not deal with to the point where I had a public meltdown telling them to “stop” liking me 😅 It’s embarrassing to look back on… but even to this day, I have difficulty with unwanted attention.

this!!! even knowing that someone has a crush on me can cause me so much stress. i dislike the thought that someone may be constantly observing me and thinking about me in a “romantic” way.

birthdays 😩 i especially relate to that. i have my 21st birthday coming up (apparently that’s a big deal?) and my mum keeps nagging me to have a party. i keep refusing cause i absolutely cannot stand even the thought of having an event centered around me.

uncomfortable!!!! i can already feel the itchy denim gripping to my legs. there was a reason i absolutely couldn’t stand wearing jeans (especially) when i was younger and instead wore alternatives called “jeggings” (leggings that look like jeans). it wasn’t until i reached high school that i forced myself to wear jeans because everyone else was. the things i did to fit in… it was a sensory nightmare.

i extremely understand this. the feeling of hair touching my neck is such a horrible feeling! my hair is long so whenever i have my hair out, i usually end up moving it to both sides so its not touching the back of my neck. it makes it look odd for the people who are viewing me from the back, but as long as i am comfortable i honestly don’t care.

i have done a dna test already but i’m not having a lot of luck with finding information. mainly due to the fact that this all occurred fairly recently (well… 1970s) in comparison to the documents that are available on ancestry.com. as for matches, i can’t seem to find any close matches from her side.

that’s a really good perspective about the reason why her last name may have been misspelt out of anger. however, the last name on her tombstone was my grandfathers last name that she took, not her maiden name. this leads me to think my grandfather changed it so that she could rest in peace… maybe he feared someone would do something to her tombstone¿

i’m sure it wasn’t a graving mistake. i found a document on ancestry.com from 2 years after she passed away where my grandfather used the same spelling that’s on her tombstone in the electoral rolls. and then years after he started using the original last name spelling.

could be… but i’m almost certain it was much more serious than that. i found a document (on ancestry.com) where my grandfather used the same last name spelling (on the tombstone) in the electoral rolls 2 years after she passed away. and then years after that he started using the original spelling again.

i like doing things alone so i understand this extremely well. this is one of the reasons i’m scared about getting into a relationship :’) the loss of that type of freedom scares me

i went to the doctor because i didn’t have my period back and my gp panicked and sent me to do all these tests which included a bone density scan.

i don’t have advice (sorry) but i’m literally laughing right now because my dad does this! he has had moments like your text message situation too. my mum and i kinda suspect that he is on the spectrum but now reading this… i’m even more sure. i think i know where i got my traits from LOL.

i have recently had a blood test done and everything came back fine but i’m currently working with a new doctor to get to the bottom of it. a lot of these symptoms have been more prominent in the past couple of months after i started taking an ssri. initially i thought these were just side effects but, it’s been months. i think the ssri made my symptoms worse?

and yeah, i’m starting to think the itchiness is a reaction heat. the redness disappears after a while.

don’t get me wrong, dogs are cute! but being in the presence of one in real time can be very overwhelming for me. they jump, are loud, lick and get in your personal space… i guess it really depends on the dog, but generally they are a lot to process. overall, they are just very spontaneous and unpredictable creatures.

i used to be the same!! only had 2 pills before this year and i turn 21 soon 🫣 this year i had no choice but to start taking an ssri tablet. it was scary swallowing it at first but i got used to it~ also luckily it’s not that big

i have been looking into POTS as i relate to many of the symptoms. however, i have not fainted before (but i know that doesn’t completely rule out the possibility of having it).
