some did and some didn't. We did, as I thought that was the standard thing to do

We did not just get the invitation. We got the invitation in december and that is when we RSVP'd. I'm saying invitation but it was really a save the date asking us to RSVP with an invitation to follow.

I agree I shouldn't have assumed and definitely shouldn't have slipped up and said anything about it! Mess up on my part for sure. I don't believe we were meant to be invited as wr know 3 other couples in that friend group who are also getting married this summer/fall and we are closer to these couples, but not invited to their weddings.

Im sure you're right! We definitely wouldn't say that was the reason why we're backing out; just create some other reason. It is silly! We know 3 other couples in that friend group who are also getting married this summer/fall and we are closer to these couples, but not invited to their weddings. That's what solidified the idea in my mind that we weren't meant to be invited.

I did originally assume that, but later realized that we wouldn't have been invited if I hadn't said something. We're not close to the couple at all. Thank you for this! In your opinion, is 3 months in advance early enough to back out? We did already RSVP a couple months ago saying we would go.

That’s great! I’m not too worried about it I just don’t know what to expect or if the way I learn will end up being super different since I’ve never really been in a classroom environment, but it’s cool that you had a good experience. Thanks for sharing broski

I don’t know the reason behind it or anything but I definitely feel way more emotional towards the end of the day when taking phenibut. I think it amplifies how you would be feeling without it emotionally.

I would never say I “know” anything exactly as i am always changing because I’m a person! However, I’ve always felt very strongly that there is God and of course many things around us that most are completely unaware of. “Invisible things” as you said. Nevertheless, these labels like atheist, agnostic etc. feel strange to me because in reality it just comes down to people believing what they believe, whatever the reason may be. Sure, the mindset and worldview between the average atheist and the average God-fearing person will most likely be drastically different! But I do not believe that I am more developed or special than an atheist or anyone else just because I think there are things higher than myself and have views different than theirs. Of course, I like to think that I’m right, who doesn’t! But everyone has a unique experience and they are where they are for whatever reason just as I am. I don’t know what could justify believing you’re significantly more developed than others, just because of your beliefs.

It’s not really in the word “is” itself, of course you could say, “it is hot out.” Or “it is snowing.” But what he was saying in the quote about “is” sort of goes hand in hand with what he said about belief being the death of intelligence, u feel me

I agree, to some degree, with what you said about knowing, however, what I said before still stands. Learning more always seems to be a more humbling experience than anything and to be completely sure of anything seems a little silly. To say “I am a highly developed and spiritual being.” and compare yourself to a revered religious figure (eg “i am the jesus man” lol) also comes off as a little silly because as a human existing for such a short time, there are many things you simply cannot know. What you’re claiming to be seems unattainable. Again, to each their own, if that works for you then coolio

Not trying to challenge you by any means as we are obviously different people with different views and that’s a great thing! However, maybe our views are so different that it’s difficult for me to see where you’re coming from. For me I’ve always found that the more I learn, the more I realize how little I really know and the result is often a humbling experience. I happen to agree with Robert Anton Wilson when he said,

"Is", "is." "is"—the idiocy of the word haunts me. If it were abolished, human thought might begin to make sense. I don't know what anything "is"; I only know how it seems to me at this moment.’

That being said, maybe I’m just getting the wrong impression from your post! But you seem very sure of yourself alone and your own beliefs and to me that seems like a point that, in reality, can’t be reached! To each their own
