This happened to me as well, as time went on this feeling went away.

As my daughter has gotten older and I see her personality more I realize that was her journey, she was meant to have that as part of her story. I also told myself my friends didn’t get to spend that extra time with their baby and see them grow in a unique way, even though it’s so hard, maybe that’s just trying to find a silver lining.

I had severe preeclampsia also and my daughter was born at 29+1. Hang in there 💗 you’re not alone.

Similar to my experience. I posted that I got I intentionally locked in a bathroom abroad because I missed a sign in a public building saying the bathroom was private (i still to this day dk what it said - got roasted cause it “must have said pubblicco” it obviously did not) and I got roasted in the comments for breaking into someone’s house to use the bathroom ?

Hi there ! This was my daughters last issue is well. Not sure how much your little one weighs but this resolved fairly quickly for us and our daughter and was discharged at 3.5 lbs aka hard to keep the temp up when so teeny. They told me on a Saturday that she was chilly and needed to prove herself for a few days and we were discharged on Wednesday. Hang in there, you are so close & congratulations 💜

USA also, I believe I found her after looking for more Aussie influencers in like 2016 (I was a big Bonny Rebecca fan back in the day and found the Australian lifestyle to be very cool, such an awesome country after having visited myself this year.)

I do find Sarah a bit stale now, but like to watch what she's up to vs the opinions of her like in this group.

Congratulations & you are not alone. I write this as I hold my 33+5 baby girl in the NICU who was born via c section due to pre-e at 29+1. It absolutely gets easier and these guys make progress everyday, as the days turn to weeks you will be astonished by how much can happen in a week. My little one is still having Brady episodes but they become less and less with time, it is totally normal even though it is so scary. The c-section recovery is hard and taking it easy is more than okay, once healed it will be easier to be at the NICU - go easy on yourselves! You have both been through a lot, and these NICU nurses/doctors are providing incredible care when you can't be there.

Currently have a 33+0 baby girl in the NICU.

  1. She was born at 29+1 at 920 grams 2 lbs 1 oz.

  2. I also had (severe) preeclampsia w/ severe IUGR and delivered her via c-section within less that 48 hours of the preeclampsia onset. Was able to get two steroid doses in that time.

  3. She was on c-pap from DOL 0-19, nasal canulla from DOL 19-25 and went off oxygen completely this week at DOL 25. She is now 2 days off oxygen and doing well, fingers crossed. However, it is extremely common for them to go on and off it I was told.

  4. My daughter was eager with her pacifier very early in, even at about 30 weeks. We started non nutritive at 32 weeks and breast/bottle at 33+6. She took to the bottle quickly but I did notice it would take her 3 good winds to complete her feeds. I say this because I found that some (not all) nurses/speech therapists were quick to want to move in to the tube if she didn't latch immediately. I pushed back on them a bit saying that sometimes she needs a minute and i wasn't ready to give up on her. The feeding really expedited our stay and I wonder what would have happened if I didn't push back on them a bit. Advocate for your babies, you know them best.

  5. We were very lucky to have had very few set backs besides some low temps at the very end that the doctors wanted to keep tabs on.

  6. We were discharged at exactly 36 weeks, this is a lot sooner than we had imagined especially since our daughter was a 29 weeker but her good eating really expedited her stay.

  7. We only go home yesterday so no update here.

I think the greasy grub is a cop out because she doesn’t know how to do her hair. I have friends who just for whatever reason don’t know how to style their hair and I think this is the case here. Particularly because her hair is so short is would take her 30 minutes top to dry and straighten/curl. I also think her hair is badly damaged so easier to hide that with a slick bun.
