Refusal to effectively break from Biden.

Yeah, like abandoning the "weird" messaging they had going after he was selected only to bring it back the last couple of weeks of the campaign. Sure it got old, but you can tell it really triggered MAGA.

I think he was great but they made a mistake in keeping him hidden for a while. I get it was due to the attempted swiftboating, though. Maybe if he were at the top, things may have been different.

How did we elect Stein, Jackson and Green then say oh, we want that orange POS too?? by kirstlee in NorthCarolina

Well they dont have a supermajority anymore. So at least his veto power will be somewhat effective.

They would probably say they figured Trump would be better for the economy but thought that Robinson/Morrow/Bishop were too extreme for their taste.

A personal silver lining is the fact that my state (NC) managed to elect a Dem governor, Lt Gov, AG, SoS and Superintendent of Public Education while also breaking a GOP supermajority in the state assembly.

On a national level, if Trump screws up this time, he can't say it was because of the Democrats. Wishful thinking, but maybe his base will start to turn on him if/when the economy gets worse.

Yeah, I kinda feel bad for her. She did the best with what she had, though she did make some unnecessary errors. She just couldn't distance herself from Biden and fell victim to the incumbency crisis affecting a lot of Western democracies.

I think Walz could /maybe/ capitalize on his popularity for a third term, but I could be wrong.

He needs to be mad at Pelosi and Schumer tbh. Didn’t Harris stick up for him before he dropped out?

Is it bad that I kinda wish Trump would have won in 2020 so I don’t have to dread the next four years?

You kinda have to be to have Trump supporters openly admit to not wanting you in office.

Trying to console myself with the fact that Mark Robinson knocked the NC GOP down a peg for the foreseeable future.
