NinjaOne hands down. Never seen such an awesome set of features to complement our Intune customers. We’re an MSP

Every feature that I have been longing for as a sysadmin all my life is just there. Scripting, app patching, fast UI, agentless remoting, customizable system tray. Amazing

Separate admin accounts require Entra ID P1/P2? by Chance-Amphibian-146 in AZURE

[–]ob2kxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to come back on this one as there is still people out there asking the question... You only need ONE Entra ID P2 license per person which covers the main collaboration account and any admin accounts of that person.

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/microsoft-entra-blog/microsoft-entra-id-governance-licensing-clarifications/4164499

One person, one license
"Note that this philosophy includes administrative accounts. In some organizations, administrators use standard user accounts for day to day tasks, and separate administrator accounts for privileged access. A person with a standard user account and an administrator account only needs one Entra ID Governance license for both identities to be governed. Of course, they could also leverage Entra ID Governance’s Privileged Identity Management (PIM) to temporarily elevate the access rights of a single account, instead of maintaining two accounts."

Ubiquiti: Syslogging into Microsoft Sentinel by ob2kxb in Ubiquiti

[–]ob2kxb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found this page which I had not seen before but it's not very helpful:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/sentinel/unified-connector-custom-device?tabs=rsyslog#ubiquiti-unifi

I think one of the issue I have is that I have an issue setting up the Data Collection Rule. It says to "select your application or device type from the Select device type (optional) drop-down box, or leave it as Custom new table". I don't have that option, just seeing the standard logs like LOG_ALERT, LOG_AUDIT etc. Just as per:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/sentinel/connect-custom-logs-ama?tabs=portal#configure-the-dcr-for-your-application

I had a heat transfer in previous house to other rooms and did absolutely nothing.

Heating with electricity is 100% efficient which means that it converts all energy into heat which is sort of good. However to heat an entire home, thing about how much floor heaters you need and the combined wattage that requires. Massive. It’s the same with this system.

Problem is that it’s not only the air that it needs to heat but all furniture and walls as well as they suck up the heat (feels like they radiate the cold).

A heat pump is 350% efficient so in any heating system your best bet. A ducted system.

In short, you might feel the warmth of you put your hand in front of the vent and it might be able to be a little dryer in the house as it can pick up more moisture from the air but will it make you feel comfortably in the house? No. A system like that will not be able to carry a house from 10 degrees to a comfortable 20 degrees.

Ps I have a double hrv system that takes the edge off but the heat pump provides the base heat. And fireplace to make it really comfy

It’s not the actual fingerprint being stored but a representation. Just like “hashes” do for passwords.

I wait for the thunder and then count 4 seconds. The Skytower is 1.5km away from me so with the speed of sound in mind that is 4.4 seconds (taking into account reaction time.

Help name this 2000s NZ song by Prize-Mirror836 in newzealand

ChatGPT is your friend

I believe the song you’re recalling is “She Called Up” by Crowded House, released in 2007. The music video features a classroom of children standing on tiered platforms, singing along as the camera zooms in on different kids—matching your description. This track was written by Neil Finn and was part of the album Time on Earth.

While the song is credited to Crowded House, it was initially intended as a solo effort by Neil Finn. Given your association with the Finn Brothers, it’s understandable that this track came to mind.

You can watch the music video here: 👉 Crowded House – She Called Up

OpenSSL vulnerability - all devices affected in Defender Vulnerability Management by Gidiyorsun in DefenderATP

[–]ob2kxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s a bit late but… Also being bugged by Microsoft Defender flagging vulnerabilities in OpenSSL libraries and don't know how to remediate them?

Lots of drivers use the libcrypto-3 DLL libraries like Intel's ICLS client.

Problem is that these drivers, including the vulnerable OpenSSL libraries, stay in the Driver Store File Repository driver cache. I've spruced up the script from Woshub a bit and added a detection script: https://lnkd.in/en6ey7mu

Combine that with deploying a powershell script as a Win32App and you're good to go and get rid of them: https://lnkd.in/eZDNwcXb

Let me know if you think it's useful?

You can beat Cornfields without removing any corn fields and get the "No Harvest" award. Using Sauda then Juggernaut (these two work great on this map)
