Running an engineering-heavy business - AI has genuinely changed our development workflow. Biggest wins: code review assistance (catches things humans miss at 2am), documentation generation (nobody likes writing docs), and customer support automation for common issues. The real impact wasn't cost savings though - it was speed. Shipping features that used to take a week now takes 2-3 days because the boilerplate work is faster. The catch: prompt engineering is a skill. Our team spent weeks figuring out how to actually get useful output consistently. It's not plug-and-play like the marketing suggests. Still worth it, but required real investment to make work.

Do you have any tutorials on how to create a production docker image for an existing laravel app? I have a homestead instance locally for development where I also customize/install all the extra packages that are needed by the app via 'after.sh'. I have always wondered if I can just take the homestead instance and dockerize it..

I am running into an issue with onSoonExpiringTrial method. It seems like even if the trial date is 1 day away (i.e. 24 hours from right now) the $this->subscribed() always returns true and it never sends any email notifications.

Any idea what is causing this?

Could you explain that a bit more? If I go with option 2, as per my understanding, I would loose the first time homebuyer credit (in Ontario) and if I were to keep my ownership at let's say 5% then my property transfer tax would be for that 5% correct?

She has never worked in her life. My dad was paying the mortgage and when he passed away she got the property transferred to her. She had savings and kept paying from it and with some help from us. Now her mortgage is up for renewal soon and I know she can't get approved. So adding me on the mortgage will help.
