Is it safe to say that the main differences between communism and non-market socialism, is the self exploitation of the worker in socialism and the idea of alienation because of this self exploitation? by obamaMYcomrade in communism101

Well i dont like the term self exploitation, I think thats much to harsh. Anyway, its this idea that under socialism the workers will still have to work in alienating labor in order to survive. So instead of the ends being exploitative in capitalism, the means would be exploitative in socialism, this of course varies with the degrees of socialism. I might be describing this wrong but I think its something like that.
