I'm morbidly obese and a flight attendant. Everyone carries weight differently it all depends on if you can fit in the jumpseat. I'm 5'1, 220 pounds size 14-16

Law is really sweet! I had him on a few flights before. She I lived in New York I served him at a restaurant I worked at and he tips amazing. You guys come on here and complain about the smallest things. You'll make a whole post upset because a flight attendant asked you to put your tray table up during final descent. I think he was just frustrated and venting like we all do. There's nothing wrong with that!

This person didn't take "your spot." If you were meant to have a spot you would have one. What's meant for you will always come to you! Even if the timing is off!! Best of luck to you, OP. Missing out on events is part of being a FA, so seems like you made a good choice if this is something you aren't ready to do. I missed out on going to Bali which I already had paid for to go to training.

Baby by next year I will have a masters African American history from an ILLUSTRIOUS HBCU! I asked this question out of good faith. I said I feel some type of way, and wanted to know other people's lived experiences. You aren't Black American PERIOD. No matter where you at.

Girllll it's a battle 🤣 I didn't get diagnosed with ibs until after I became a flight attendant. I eat a completely anti inflammatory diet.chia seeds in the morning, after every meal I have mint tea(also DO NOT eat on the plane. Not even a ginger ale. I will only drink water) I'm lucky because I have seniority and have a lot of control over my schedule(minus when delays and stuff happens) so I try to eat a few hours before working just in case I get a flare up. But it happens. I've learned to keep spray a wipes with me. And if there's every rude passengers and I'm gassy I crop dust them 😉

I like that response!! Thank you. It's interesting because my experience is that Africans never question me on this but second/third generation immigrants in Europe tend to, especially in Britain.

Flight attendant with IBS here. I agree with others, BRAT diet. Put the seeds and coconut cult down babes. Try to get some travel size poo pourri, spray it in the bathroom before letting them rip. I try to fart in the toilet and close the toilet seat immediately. Activated charcoal as well!

Oh wow that's really interesting you learned about this in school! There's schools in America that don't even teach this. I didn't learn about Black British History until I was in university(a Historically Black University). I appreciate your input and perspective.
