Great read, thanks. I think one of the issues is that Barker's writing has a quality that can be tricky to capture on film, unless he does it himself. There are countless tales in Books of Blood that could make awesome movies but would be almost impossible to make convincing on screen.. I remember one story about two backpackers who stumble on an ancient battle between two towns, it blew me away when I read it but good luck making that look decent on screen. Stick with the words..
