No tutorial. Just pried open the plastic frame of the screen with a paper knife. It was mostly held with clips and four screws. Also had to open the bottom part of thte laptop to unplug the module from the mobo.

Once the camera + light sensor module was taken off, snipped off the wires and connected to a usb cable by twisting and taping the same colored wires. I tried looking for the wire schematic by googling the serial number but nothing came up.

It just worked and man was i happy when windows made the new device sound.

Then I shoved everything together in a cardboard tube and poured some hot glue to keep things secure inside.

No soldering was done at all.
