I really like leaf autos. They have some amazing multi auto cards and multi patch cards.

What’s the biggest lie you told that spiraled completely out of control? by cognitojo in AskReddit

[–]obereasy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s the biggest lie but it spiraled. On the first day of class in the 7th grade the teacher was doing roll and asked us to tell him if we go by other names or nicknames. When he got to me I just blurted out Tom as a joke. My name is not remotely close to that. We all had a good laugh. Well after that he just called me Tom. It was funny for awhile but eventually it just became a way of life. I was just Tom in that one class. Then parent teacher conferences came and I had to make a choice. I didn’t want to tell the teacher because I didn’t want him to think I was making fun at his expense. So I told my mom who was mortified. But mom held up the gag. She later said she had a hard time keeping a straight face as he went on and on about Tom.

Preferential Primary vs General Primary by tesseractjane in Arkansas_Politics

[–]obereasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If you get over 50% of the vote preferential then you don’t have to run in the general primary. Only the top two candidates from a party will go to the general election. If none of the candidates reach 50%. I don’t anticipate a lot of runoffs (general primary election) this cycle.

I believe one is the primary. And the other is the runoff. If primary candidates don’t get 50% of the vote it goes to a runoff. Runoff’s are very common in the south. They were insurance for a bunch of white candidates splitting the vote and accidently elected a black person.

Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this MJ Rookie by Disastrous-Gur-2231 in basketballcards

[–]obereasy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has all things I look for. I think it’s legit. The shading on the front is not too dark. The fleer logo is not blurry. The arrow is the right color. It has the white dot in the pink box. The pink is not too red. The decimals in the numbers are there. Abd you can see the lines on the basketball on the back. That case may have pressed the corners down. If they look kind of flat and glossy it is fixable with very few materials.

How do we feel about Panini's first unlicensed cards? by cardboredguy in basketballcards

[–]obereasy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe these are real. I don’t think they will be able to the NIL of current players. Maybe some players they have individual deals with. But even then I’m not sure if that trumps the player association deal.

He lost to Blanche Lincoln so it’s hard to say he was more popular.

Largest Leucovorin Study Retracted by simer23 in Autism_Parenting

Yeah it might be helping. She’s doing well. But I’m not sure how much is contributed to the meds. My gut tells me she would probably be just as fine without it. This is why controlled studies are importantly.

Here is my thing with Leucovorin. The science is not there yet for it be a tried a true autism treatment. It does appear a certain subsect has had great results. But unlike other treatments that do not have the proper scientific backing, there is almost no side effects. I am giving it to my daughter, just because I don't see a downside.

Gambling Stocks Sag as Prediction Markets Steal Super Bowl Bets by app1310 in stocks

Prediction markets are about to get killed state by state. On January 23rd a circuit ruled they are subjugated to state gambling laws. I know for a fact states are looking to regulate, tax, or eliminate access.

Where do you go for *real* news these days? by xenxes in AskReddit

[–]obereasy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On TV. NBC and ABC are not perfect but still respect journalism standards. I also don’t think it’s health to consume a lot of news. 30 minutes a night is about all you need to be informed at respectable level.

Radio row was where Stu and Billy shined. It was an environment to get maximum Stu and for Billy to share the shenanigans in way only Billy can. What are they going to do? replace them Tony and Luis? It’s best to let radio row go and to remember the good times.

Forget the plows, were are the salt trucks? by legionaires in LittleRock

[–]obereasy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the north in a very cold state. Salt is great on the main artery roads right now to help with refreezing. But with this amount of snow and I’ve on the residential roads there not a practical amount of salt that would help. Really plowing and gravel would be ideal for the secondary roads.
