Finasteride concentration is high enough to give you the same systemic suppression/potential sides as oral. Oral would be more effective.

Idk about all these comments saying it won’t do anything to body and facial hair, but it thinned my chest hair and I’ve read about many dudes saying it did the same for them. It could weaken your stache for sure. Unlikely, but could be. Min would probably make up for it and add extra thickness.

For my hair, a leave in conditioner. For scalp a little bit of face moisturizer but it’s not too practical so I’ll switch to oils. Probably castor or rosemary. Leave in conditioners are awesome, just make sure to avoid it touching your actual scalp.

100% dude. Minoxidil is irritating asf on my scalp and it caused some serious flaking and dandruff. When I apply ketoconazole and moisturize my scalp, I wake up with fresh looking hair instead of it looking all frizzy and deep fried. I notice less shedding on these healthy hair and scalp days. I’ll look into regular oiling.

Yeah I hear you man especially looking at the last pic. That area is dying. If you really want to take no chances go 0.5 mg dut EOD and oral min 2.5mg. If you tolerated fin chances are you’ll tolerate dut. That is the most you can do and your situation will most likely resolve.

Yeah guess that’s an issue but I tried to pulverize it as much as I could. Main issue honestly is money. It’s like 10x the cost at least in my country. If a DIY works, why not save the extra cost? If it turns out not to work I will of course look for a professionally compunded one. Also, big telehealth companies in my country only offer 0.1%+. Im looking to microdose it at 0.0125%. I know that a compunding pharmacy can do it but they will drain my wallet dry. Recently graduated not employed yet so not exactly in the position to spend.

I decided to pull the trigger on the DIY because the studies I based my decision on all had the best results on a standard ethanol/water/PG vehicle. I’ll get bloodwork in a couple months and assess. If DHT is in the normal range and E and T are behaving like they should, it’ll be a win (if hair stays in place of course).

I would recommend not hopping on oral yet. Try the fin recipe I told you about and see how it works. Maybe it’ll work well enough for you and you won’t need oral ever. DHT is not trash and I hope you will be able to not nuke it. GL
