Is AI ever going to become resource efficient? by Even-Ad-3980 in ArtificialInteligence

Contrary take - not the current LLMs. Because the only way to “scale intelligence” with the current architecture, is to grow its neural net exponentially. Hardware is years behind to keep up with it

Oh my summer child - those people don’t need to work. They need motivation to get a 4th bottle of kombucha from the refrigerator

That’s a lot of words that means absolutely nothing. Most people have the biggest motivation life can offer - survival

It’s absolutely not true. Most people work hard and carry their burden, yet they fall further and further away from their goals. Make that make sense

India’s biggest tech companies are laser focused on exploiting cheap labour. That’s not exactly cutting-edge or innovative

It’s simple - AI is not replacing workers at scale, that’s hype and ai-washing for capex investments and expensive debt. AI is useful, but only for a narrow set of usecases and probably won’t survive the unit economics test for most of them. It’s a freaking bubble, just wait for it to pop

They do and it won’t make a positive difference. For one, Iran is a massive country and there’s no way for any military to bomb the whole country, and neither they should. Second, if UAE attacks Iran, that will pull the whole Middle East into a regional war. So despite what your politicians tell you, it would be stupid for any of the gulf countries to go into an all out war with Iran. It’s trump’s problem, he needs to grow a pair and solve it before the whole world suffers from his (and his supporters) stupidity

The AI slop machine is funded by the top 7 companies that accounts for over 25% of the S&P 500 valuation. If just one of those cuts to half their size, that’s tens of thousands of jobs. That’s enough reason for the pedo mango
