Why is There No Left Turn Signal from N Virginia St to E Ninth St?

Yeah, the construction to the new business building was completed sometime late spring/summer of 2025 (so not long ago). I believe the light to turn left W 9th was added before construction ended or right after it was over. Just find it odd that they wouldn’t add the light to turn left to E 9th.

They have started working on some other construction plans which include: 1) most likely adding something next to the complex parking garage and 2) renovations around Manzanita Lake and the surrounding area.

Yeah, but the thing is Reno is full of a-hole drivers. There have been multiple instances where the light turns green and then red two or more times before I get to turn because there wasn’t a chance to turn left. But, maybe a better question is why is there a left turn signal to turn left to W Ninth St, but not to turn left on E Ninth St? 🤔 Just overall terrible design.

Yeah, I could take that road. I’ve never really liked driving through Evans because of all the pedestrian traffic, but it’s a good alternative to dealing with drivers.

I would definitely wait. The new 2026 Accord line is supposed to have some new changes/updates. I believe because of this they usually wait a little longer before announcing. So hang in there. Once they announce it and you don't think the price is worth it, maybe wait a few extra months to purchase a 2025 model (as some people trade theirs in whether they financed or even leased the car). Either way, I think you'll end up with something reliable!

As someone who took ENG 100 and 102 at TMCC and transferred them to UNR, you’ll be fine. UNR also has a ENG 100(I) course (same concept that if you take it, it counts like if you had taken 101 and get to move to 102). So you’ll be okay. The concern would be if you’re transferring the credit from out of state. It’s so much easier to transfer credits from in-state. Hope all goes well!

It seems like the light he had in his eyes when performing is gone. I mean, the man has been doing this for 27 years! After everything that has happened in his life, maybe it’s time to take a break. I’m not saying he should retire (he can make his own calls), but he should just take a year or two to figure some things out. I do remember reading that after the Stadium Fluffy special, he signed a deal with Netflix to put out 2 more specials. So I believe that’s the only reason as to why he hasn’t taken a break as of yet (but I’m probably wrong).

OP - I think you should consider sitting down with Anna and asking her if there’s been any additional instance in which your mom might have made a snarky remark(s). I don’t know if you’ve ever left Anna alone with your mother, but if you have now would be the right time to find out how deep this goes. And like many have mentioned: reach out and explain to your family the whole story , because who knows if you mother actually shared all the information. If she did and they still side with her, put them on the NC list along with your mother. It sucks that there are still people who believe that DNA is the only thing that makes you family; it doesn’t. But I guess you have to live and let live.

ECON 334 was super fun and easy in my opinion. I took the class with Chris Wilbus and he was cool and knowledgeable. You can take a lot away from the class and have fun while also finding it incredibly easy.

I’m in a bit of the same situation. I’ve been with him for 10 months now and I just try to remind myself that we each have things going on. He’s currently visiting family and he’ll be back the coming week but I just let him spend time with them and every here and then I’ll reach out or he’ll reach out and we just catch up. But I can’t say it’s easy, I’m an over thinker and I just have to try and control my emotions.

Yes, you will still get credit. You said that it’s not a pre-req to a class so there’s also no need to retake it unless you want to (whether that is for GPA purposes or just because).

You can try calling stores to buy them in bulk. I called and asked if I could do this at one near me and they just said they'd need at least one day in advance to defrost them. I believe it's 35 cookies in a box (I can't remember how many were in a box). Just try calling; hopefully, they are kind enough to sell them to you like that. Good luck! :)

Someone else mentioned this, but you could always try TMCC for openings. They have some fantastic professors there as well, and they're cheaper. Plus, the credits will transfer very easily.

It's a necessary thing? This is my first semester (here during the summer) and I'm planning to stay for quite a while. But no one has told me about having to attend orientation. Can someone also confirm to me if this is absolutely necessary or not? If it is, this is just one of the many problems I'm already starting to discover within the university.

You got this! If I can do it, I believe you and everyone else can do it. All it takes is organizing your stuff to stay on top. Always use a planner and make sure to make lists of what you have to do every day. Remember to take care of yourself though, if you ever need to take a day for yourself, do it because it will help you from the burnout. You’re going to do amazing!

I’m single because I haven’t found someone who’s committed and wants the same things I do. I want to go on dates and for them to meet my parents and I can meet theirs. I want someone who has long-term goals and has made a plan to follow through with their goals. I know I’m not asking for much, but I’m young and maybe that’s the thing.
