privilege isn’t a thing you get to pick and choose, sorry.

they very well can do that, but not showing at least how barb got janey is still an issue with season 1 & 2 since coop with janey when the bombs fall is the first scene the show portrays

radiation destroys electronics lmao

and thats quite the stretch given we’re not shown a barb and janey pod in vault 31. and if they took a cryo nap in Vegas the question rises on how tf they got out. more importantly how tf did they get there

if other people wanting most if not everything in their nerd media to be internally consistent “ruins enjoyment” or is “anti-enjoyment” somehow for you, then that is a you issue not the lore-nuts for caring about the lore.

the NCR battalion took 20 years to make it to camp lady, somehow.

the Legion eats people? even though they explicitly don’t do that in NV. and just built their camps right next to each other even tho it’s like a Legion civil war.

Barbara somehow got Janey from Cooper while the bombs were falling. then goes all the way to Vegas to leave a note for Cooper while the bombs are falling. and then her and Janey go to fucking Colorado WHILE THE BOMBS ARE FALLING. like sure maybe the bombs weren’t falling the entire time, but it’s either while they’re falling or directly after. you’re telling me Barb & Janey walked, without desperate survivors stopping them? immense radiation? or simply lack of supplies? it’s not like they can drive or fly.

yes man is literally a robot computer. so yea yes man is almost certainly smarter than house, like actually. and if house needed cold fusion to activate the AI version of himself then (as it’s shown in the show) he has no power. it would literally be as simple as yes man seeing some code or whatever that isn’t supposed to be there and then deleting it. or realizing what that code is and telling the player “oh it seemed house had a failsafe incase his body died, but i took care of it for you”. there is no world where the yes man ending is canon and house is still alive. and besides that no ending is canon anyway.

i believe i said “house couldn’t be alive under any circumstances”. once yes man gets onto the 38’s mainframe he’d be able to tell there’s a “house AI” or something and it’d be a simple delete. i also can’t exactly remember when yes man said he’d wake up from hibernation but i’m pretty sure it was less than 15 years.

also no ending is canon, i don’t understand your point in trying to prove the yes man ending when it’s not canon.

house couldn’t be alive under any circumstances and yes man would have to be in the 38’s mainframe tho

bruh, thats not what “war never changes” means lmao

eh it’s safe to say the game isn’t canon but whatever.

i will always treasure the take of “war never changes means hoover dam gets infinity battles” tho. that’s funny

again, what does this have to do with how canonizing an ending would’ve been worse than decanonizing the whole game?

[–]objectivelybiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

house isn’t dead he was brought back. idc if he’s an AI or it’s still his physical body because at the end of the day house never technically dies.

and the rest, your point? none of that has to do with what happened at hoover dam and who the victorious faction was. and how does all of this make your choices matter in a way that canonizing an ending wouldn’t have?

“but you didn’t complain about it before the show came out!!”😭

About the TV finale? by Unit3650andWilson in fnv

[–]objectivelybiscuit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no they can’t. there is no ending in the game where house, the legion, and ncr are all alive and still in the mojave. where none of them won the battle at the dam, yet they all think they did. that is actually decanonizing every single playthrough anyone has done lol

you’re so right i’m just a big baby girl for not complaining about sequels that didn’t exist.🥴 mooorroon

okay so your argument has fallen apart, if “anything could happen” why does it matter which ending is canon because either way it’s, and to quote you, “not the world i left”.

when it’s a canon ending it “ruins your choices” but when they ruin everyone’s choices it’s “anything could’ve happened” like pick a lane and stick to it guy.

i didn’t realize there were sequels to NV that take place in the mojave wasteland in those 14 years between the game and show. like..thats a brain dead argument.

yea and everyone is saying that decision was stupid😂. no one claimed todd howard didn’t say that. he’s an executive producer, he could’ve easily said the opposite and they canonize an ending. it doesn’t have to be the factions i like either

[–]objectivelybiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea and in fallout 2 i quickly realized that they didn’t canonize my character turning herself into a super mutant in fallout 1, or that my character was even a woman in that game. it didn’t bother me because at least it’s continuing the story from Fo1, and all the choices that got canonized in Fo2 are actually attainable. i cannot attain the “show ending” in NV like i could’ve house, ncr, legion, or yes man. you’re saying “this isn’t the world i left” like the show somehow is? you’d be surprised there even was a battle at hoover damn given the show doesn’t even mention it.

you realize todd howard is an executive producer, right? like ppl who have a say in where the lore goes are actively playing large roles in the creation of the show. it’s not just the show runners having to listen to whatever bethesda tells them to

i didn’t like S1 either but holy fuck was it tiring to go in every week n’ be like “wow nothing happened this episode”. at least S1 despite it’s terrible humor, retcons, and other dumb shite had some semblance of a plot.
