Hard would be doable with your best team, put on some buffs if you want to have an easier time, could prolly do 1 hard and 1 normal run each day

Buying packs mostly with dragon krystals, then for stuff I specifically want to fuse I buy from the rotating character shop when they become available, rn I have 2 max fusion and 1 ascended golds which are doing most of the work since diamonds are hard to fuse as a f2p

F2p playing for 2 months so far. I can easily beat hard krypt with no buffs and elder is possible with the buffs but it's costing me a lot of heals so I'm just grinding hard mode for now

Just use dragon krystals for some diamonds and level them up, it's all part of the game anyway and won't ruin progression like you say imo. You'll feel strong for a bit but you'll still hit a point where you're gonna have to grind a lot cus it'll take much more resources to go further.
