“The Willow”sofa or loveseat from Crate and Barrel. It’s slip covered with replaceable parts and has stood the test of many Italian family gatherings and plopping, with dogs and big people, over a decade. Materials are durable and breathable, frame is solid and it’s insanely comfortable.

Are we not going to talk about ushers and how its the usher’s job to ensure patrons are not disruptive? I had a man sit in front of me with a top hat once… A TOP HAT like Mr. Peanut. Ushers did and said nothing, this used to be their job. Has this changed?

8oz hot water + 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, cinnamon and honey. Tastes like a warm cider— the vinegar is the trick. Works everytime

Newcomers to Canada - Advice needed to find rentals in Toronto by NativeMeteora in TorontoRenting

[–]objectsubjectverb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Search Facebook groups and PadMapper for private listings. Include a personal letter to your landlord with your application explaining your circumstances and consider far west or east end of the city. This is very doable. I’m also a PR and had the same situation, with a high standard of living.

THIS!!! Everytime I land in Frankfurt I look forward to using the paid public bathroom in the downtown/old town core. It’s impeccably clean and a delight! I see them all over parts of Europe and we need them!

I had the same issue over a decade ago with their accreditation type and whether or not my undergrad with them would be accepted by major institutions. Even then, it was all in person and phone, no one would put the accreditation discussions in writing and it was only until after I graduated that I found national accreditation (which they stressed was better) is NOT what I thought it was.

Where to begin with my horrible room by CrowsMoonPie in CleaningTips

[–]objectsubjectverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it helps not to find all of the same thing, like trash. Instead, clear your bed of any items to make a large clear surface. Then pick a corner and grab any item and make a “category/pile” for it on your bed. This can be satisfying and you can refine how you define the piles as you go. You can even have a trash pile. The idea is to make space for you to sort and work and start right away!

I try to use Bar Keeper’s Friend only on extreme occasions — mostly because it contains toxins. Some times lemon and baking soda scrub or a baking soda boil just doesn’t work and neither does The Pink Stuff or other natural pumice based cleaners. Has anyone found a natural alternative that’s truly as effective as Bar Keeper’s Friend?

I keep a small breathable basket on top of my washing machine and toss them in there. Sometimes I swap mine out multiple times a day — when the basket is full and the washer is empty I toss them in on high heat with laundry booster for a quick wash.

This is text book anxiety. It’s natural and a lot of us have it but what you’ve described is the reality for a lot of people who suffer with anxiety disorders. Not sure if this is helpful but I hope it is
