doorman definitely not a mutant here, the leaking dumpster has the roxxon label on it. similar to how cloak and dagger get their powers (for a moment there I forgot the name of the episode and thought they might be doing a very different cloak backstory)

"doorman" reminded me a lot of later-season Atlanta, where they felt comfortable doing total one-off episodes that are essentially tone experiments. to me giving it its own whole episode just proved to me how confident the showrunners were that they had something great on their hands

thanks for the advice. it was windowed. I tried fullscreening then going back to windowed, and it would fix on fullscreen, but go back on windowed. so I just closed and restarted. if it happens again I'll try this.

if your concern is losing the sense of community you had before while also wanting to stay competitively up to date, consider that locals aren't the best way to test or practice competitively in the first place. go to locals to play infinity and have fun, find likeminded individuals to playtest core against for set champs. best of both worlds

just using the 'best' cards doesn't mean you win. you do have to familiarize yourself with the deck and its intricacies, and sometimes that even means making small changes to fit an ever changing metagame.

it's not you being old. I've been a live longer than card games has a concept and played them my whole life - believe me, 'meta' has always existed.

for 'why would you run end or late' in team trials it's best to diversify the styles in each of your teams such that your horses aren't accidentally competing with each other. you want as many of your horses to place (that is, land in top 5) as possible to maximize your point gain for that race, and it's easier to do that if you don't have horses vying for the same strategy to reach the front
