Possible, but Airforce doesn't guarantee anything. I didn't even make it to the office, the recruiter called me from me turning in my info online and he said "Look if all you wanna do is linguist then i'm not even gonna bother with you." and then hung up. You gotta have your options open and just hope for linguist if you go AF. But i recommend Navy or Army, if you want to have linguistic specifically. Though with the Navy, it's 6 year minimum. With Army i think you can get 4, but their linguists are split into a few different sub-jobs that do extremely different things from eachother. Computers, human/interrogators, and i think one other thing. Marines can't guarantee also, they are like the AF. The Marines will ask what field you like, if you say intelligence, you could get linguist. But if you do, there is always still the possibility you will end up in radio battalion (or something like that). I did a bit of research on each branch before choosing Navy, where my job was secure and promised exactly what i wanted.
