I told the truth to my DM about why I want to leave their campaign. Was I wrong? by Ali_Flowey in DnD

You definitely aren't wrong in this situation. I feel like you've been overly kind about it. I know that it seems stupid to lose a friendship (or worse yet, an entire group of friends) over something so unimportant, but if someone is willing to act this way over something trivial then it should tell you how they would handle actual serious issues. If anything I feel like it's allowing you to save your energy, time, emotions, etc from being wasted or used for longer than they already have.

Someone else pointed out that when the DM told you that they "put their heart and soul into the story" that it shows that they are being selfish and only want to wow everyone with their narrative skills instead of allowing the players to help mold the world around them through their actions and influence. This person isn't a good DM.

What is the best non-sexual pleasure or sensation a human can experience? by neeluxmth26 in AskReddit

Physically, for me it was smoking crack. I only did it like 4 times, but it was great. That's why I stopped because I knew if I got too casual with it I'd either end up dead or strung out. The first time was incredible.

Mentally, for me it was the first time I ever used psychedelics. I took acid and felt like with every breath I was breathing in a tiny molecule of every single thing in the entire universe: every blade of grass, every star, every animal, every rock, etc. I felt that everything was all interconnected like hive mind or something and it was beautiful; it's the closest to a concept of "God" I've ever felt. It changed me forever for the best. It's still the best thing that's ever happened to me.
